I'd never seen a picture of Peter Sutcliffe before.
He looks like a magician.

According to this this site (new window, kinda NSFW), he's been attacked in prison multiple times. One time, he had to be saved by Kenneth Erskine, the Stockwell Strangler. There's something amusing about a serial killer saving another one's life.

I guess that is a little more odd than a guy who's in jail for killing his mother attempting to kill a guy who is in jail for killing women, in order to teach him that it was wrong to kill those women.

/And I thought there was a certain honor code to jailhouse justice. This is just pure madness.

Dark-haired Sureda, who had just moved to a new wing of the hospital when the attack happened, said in one outburst: 'I said weeks before that I would attack Mr Sutcliffe if if I was moved to that ward.'

Sounds like a lawsuit.

Sureda strangled his 68-year-old mother Geraldine in 2000 after she invited him home to Mitcham, Surrey, from another psychiatric hospital for the weekend.
He was convinced that his mother was part of a New Labour plot to kill him because of his Conservative beliefs.

He would fit right in with the "Teabaggers" over on this side of the pond.

Well Broadmoor is a mental hospital. Albeit one with very burly nurses who lock the patients in cells at night. And never let any inmate patient leave. Ever.
So it's not a prison, no definitely not a prison.
God only knows what the inmates of a high security mental hospital consider to be an honour code.

Given some are too insane to even stand any sort of legal proceeding, I don't think some of the people there really worry about honor or codes or much of anything.

Not exactly paranoid yourself, are you? Was your mother scared by a cup of tea?

If Mr. Sutcliffe would have kept his night job with the Beatles this never woulda happened.

2009-11-20 08:01:33 PM
The paranoid schizophrenic repeatedly lunged at Sutcliffe's only good eye using a blunt 7-inch table knife as horrified nurses at the top security hospital tried to pull him off.

Well I don't think he should be rewarded in that way.
