I guess the Dixie Chicks weren't available.

2003-03-24 05:22:50 PM
Hey Wil, it's Corey on line 2, he says he heard about an Iraqi kid who was hit by a Humvee and wants to know if you want to find it with him and the guys.

Wanna see a dead body?

Thanks. But, no thanks. I've got my own opinion.

When did Wil start writing in his blog again? I thought he was taking some time off from it?

2003-03-25 12:06:04 AM
I might've actually cared what this guy thought oh, maybe 4 months ago.

2003-03-25 12:07:01 AM
Wil is anti-war? Oh Wil...

*shakes head*

2003-03-25 12:08:18 AM
Salam Pax's blog is pretty good. Great view from the man on the street in Baghdad.

2003-03-25 12:08:51 AM
Yeah, I was just watching CNN and thinking, "I wonder what Wil Wheaton would do?" Then I broke into a little song and dance number.

2003-03-25 12:08:54 AM
BBC has the best coverage, overall. The Reporters' Diaries are probably one of the best sources of info you can find about the war.

Why the fark would I care what Wheaton has to say about it?

2003-03-25 12:09:07 AM
Isn't Wil a Space/Time walking, minor pagan god of the Universe and salami samiches? Why doesn't he just smite those he is displeased with using all his anger and burnination?

2003-03-25 12:09:12 AM
Can you blame him? Look what happened when he tried to stand up against the Klingons! :P

2003-03-25 12:09:25 AM
Wil is mentioned with Michael Moore.

But, the good news for the length of Wil's career is that he's not likely to be nominated for an Oscar anytime soon. ;P

Will, don't be a moron.

You're already insignificant and borderline self-important, don't go a step further and be a self-important, insignificant, out-of-touch moronic idiot as well.

I see your web site is down, I hope it's because you changed your mind about spouting off anti-war b.s.

Why don't you take a minute to inform your viewers about the attrocities committed against the Kurds by Saddam, or the horrible brutality, rape-camps (raping girls as young as 8 for 24+ hours until they died or became too swollen to use), killing of wounded in hospitals and pulling-of-plugs of incubators in neo-natal wards in Kuwait in 1990-1991?

Why don't you guys ever talk about that stuff?

The most amazing blog I have ever seen on the internet:

Can I turn to Wil Wheaton when I can't decide what kind of vegetables I should have with my dinner?

Ummmm...this article has absolutely nothing to do with Wil.

I really, really, want to have people read webblogs that I right. Wil, can I share yours?

2003-03-25 12:10:54 AM
or the horrible brutality, rape-camps (raping girls as young as 8 for 24+ hours until they died or became too swollen to use)

I thought Roman Polanski was in France?

Can someone post a "Michael Moore Hours to Irrelvancy" countdown clock?

2003-03-25 12:11:51 AM
Wil Wheaton makes me want to wretch. Like I said, he makes Barbra look like Rush Limbaugh. He's got everything so ass-backwards it'd almost be funny if it wasn't so tragic. According to him, the war isn't worth one American life. So in other words, to hell with the Iraqi people. It's not Wil's problem. I live in America in my solid gold house with my rocket car. And the hypocrisy! Check out the "Stop Internet Censorship" banner on his site. Yet, when he first weighed in on the war and started getting flooded with pro-war statements he shut down the entire thread. Wil, you suck.

2003-03-25 12:12:14 AM
Moore, Wheaton and the Dix Chix need to throw a kegger. I'll bring the Jim Jones mixers.

2003-03-25 12:12:14 AM
Nah, not this time. I'll pass.

"Web blogs -- diaries posted on the Internet -- did not exist at the time of the 1991 Persian Gulf war or the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States"

What the hell? Are these people still living in the dark ages? Online diaries have been around since 1990, and easily thousands have been online years before Sept. 11th. Hmph, some "news" reporters need to do a bit more research before spewing ignorance.

2003-03-25 12:13:14 AM
Double feh.

2003-03-25 12:14:21 AM
"Sentiments" seems too light a word to describe Michael Moore's opinions. More like "rabid, venomous bile".

2003-03-25 12:14:25 AM
For a peace-nik he was pretty quick on the phaser button as I recall.

2003-03-25 12:14:37 AM

Just out of curiousity, why are a lot of you giving Mr. Wheaton a hard time? If he wants to write his thoughts about the war and put them online, he is certainly entitled to do so.

It is up to you to decide how you want to spend your time and what you want to read. If you're so impulsive that you must spend a lot of time reading things that piss you off and then need to vent through fark, may I suggest you just chill out?

I think it is great that Wil takes the time to maintain his own website and I find a lot of what he says to be interesting.

2003-03-25 12:15:23 AM
Hey Wil, should I wear the blue or tan pants tommorow.

I need to know now!

2003-03-25 12:15:51 AM
HAHA, way to piss these people off. See everyone, Wil is sorta, kinda well-known. You aren't. People will look twice in his direction. You were never in a movie.

He matters. Not as much as Tom Hanks, but certainly more than you and your puny "opinion".

Why don't you guys ever talk about that stuff?

because most refuse to believe it happened, or they blame it on the United States.

Saddam Hussein is his own worst enemy when it comes to gathering sympathy.

How about you read this, or this, or this. Just three examples of how somebody raised by Saddam went on to torture athletes and destroy sports in Iraq.

Look at the people in Southern Iraq. The people that have celebrated and tore down murals of Saddam.

Do you want to pull out and abandon them and leave them to face certain death at the hands of Saddam?

Aphexcoil3 - Why are you giving everyone a hard time about giving Wil a hard time? Aren't we entitled to write our thoughts about Wil and put them online?

I haven't seen anyone say he wasn't entitled to do so. Have you?

2003-03-25 12:18:33 AM
I don't care what Bush's motives are. I may sound a bit shallow on this one but I think that Bush is Hitler and the only "good" he has done is the extinguish of Sadam's life.

Oh wait... Saddam isn't dead and there are countless innocent people dead. F*#k you Bush.

2003-03-25 12:18:35 AM
Wil, Isn't it obvious that these posters are right and you should supress anything you believe so you can make yourself more popular? Even if you do think the war is wrong, do you actually think that is more important than risking internet geeks hating you? How stupid are you? I am shocked you would actually stand by what you said all along instead of hoisting a flag on your site.

For shame.

2003-03-25 12:18:51 AM
Yea, he's got the ability to call attention to such hefty issues...just like other heavyweights Brian Bosworth and Gary Coleman.

Damn, didn't work.

SockMonkeyHolocaust: Um, no, he doesn't matter. He's just another has-been kid-actor with no future that spouts off like his opinion means something.

He's in a movie? Really? Where? Ask me if I care. Ask a random sampling of 500 Americans if they know who Will is and you'll gett 499-500 "No"s.

I'm not sure if this is desperate attempt for attention (it's not really working, sorry the Dixie Chicks and Moore stole that from you), or to "fit in" with the Hollywood idiot crowd or something, but it's beneath you Will, really. I thought you were smarter than that and perhaps had a larger world view, but apparently the "hate bush and everything he does no matter how right he is" attitude is just moronic.

I don't care about what Wil Wheaton thinks, but I do know this: Will Wheaton looks like a pretty smoove dude.

You don't sound shallow Stickdeath, you sound like an idiot. But that's...okay.
