Everybody who participates in the war against (some) drugs should be deported. The politicians, the cops, the judges, the jail guards, all of them.

"But unable to find work, he said he may have little choice but to return to El Salvador. "I guess that's what they (ICE) wanted all along," he said. "They figured if I can't work, and they can't make money, that I'll just leave."

I mean i'm not surprised that the Fed would just use the guy up and discard him once they were done. I'm amazed the story actually saw the light of day though.

If he had all the drug money the agents skimmed from all his help, he'd be in good shape.

======================

Or better yet, just hang them some of them, just to set an example.

And them deport all the illegal immigrants. Or we could hang them, too, at least some of them.

We need to bring back public hangings, too.

The good news is that he doesn't have to worry about this anymore.

Now that he's been outted as an informant, he doesn't have much of a future ahead of him.

F*ck that. ICE should be ashamed of themselves. For a variety of reasons, but especially this one.

Yeah, he'll be dead before the end of the year. If the cops don't kill him some drug lord will.

He was breaking the law when he became an informant...Informants are generally criminals, but hey what the heck.

In other words, he should have been deported years ago and decided he would take the deal and stay to be an informant.

I'm having a hard time getting my fire up over this. Of course I don't wake up every day blaming the govt and hating law enforcement like many Farkers.

2009-11-15 03:08:19 PM
And on the reality side of this story, this fellow lived a full-time criminal lifestyle and took payouts from the feds for leaking information on the people he did business with.

Sounds like a complete tool, and sleazebag as well.

But that's just my opinion, man.

Id feel the same way if he had only done one or two, for a year.

But then he went on and did this for over a decade. And risked his life. Yeah this guy is owed.

And then the state cops saying "hey we cant sponsor him, only feds can" when in fact they CAN. yeah its a douche move of them.

Should have made that "I want citizenship at the end of my service to the state guaranteed in writing" deal. His own fault. Always remember rule number one...

1. Don't believe anything the government tells you

This article brings up a good set of points:

1) Do we make exceptions in the case of the deportation of unemployed aliens?
2) If we do, to what exceptions do we make?

It's pretty easy to go, "You don't live here and you don't have a job? OK, there's the door," but it does seem as though most people in this thread feel some sympathy for this man because of his service to the government.

It seems to me that many countries are much more strict about such things than we are.

You know, it takes some impressive cojones for an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer to be the patron of an illegal alien and find him work with the cops as a narc. I don't know who thought of that brilliant scheme, but he either needs to be fired or given a medal.

I'm sure if she wanted Senator Cantwell could get this guy the status he needs to stay.

It's a very different situation but when my mom's work visa ran out many moons ago and she was almost deported, her advisor at the university knew Jesse Helms and he stepped in and got her the visa she needed to stay on as an assistant professor.

How is he owed? Here illegally, sold info on drug dealers to the drug prohibition, so that he wouldn't get tossed in jail for being involved with dealing drugs.

He isn't being sent to prison, so I think he is getting off easy.
