I don't think the guy is as unqualified as your green eyes make him out to be. He finished an undergrad at UCLA and went right to grad school. Considering he's got more money than he knows what to do with I applaud the fact that someone in Hollywood is actually getting an education, instead of just spewing political filth backed by 8 years of elementary school and a semester at community college.

He doesn't need one at all; hell, he doesn't need an MFA for that matter. He is pursuing knowledge. Perhaps will do good work with that knowledge, either teaching or making good art, but even the pursuit and self-improvement are reason enough.

Robert Vaugn earned a Ph.D. in history from USC, studying the McCarthy blacklisting. Blossom's is in biochemistry. Robocop is finishing up his in ancient Greece (or is it ancient Rome? - feh, one of the subdisciplines in the Classics department), and is reportedly an excellent lecturer.

At least their studies are toward a real doctorates, rather than an Ed.D. I also presume he (like those three before him) is not planning just to "research" the effects of his own programmes on the viewers. I went to NYU Film. I am not now nor have I ever been rich/famous/connected. The vast majority of my classmates were all Middle class kids and, frankly, I was never very impressed with their grades/SAT's.

So I say to you, days after this thread has essnetially closed... put up a link to your portfolio, a link to a video you shot on youtube or just a pdf of something you've written.
