True story. I was at a store on Cameron Road in Austin, and a woman offered to give me a BJ if I bought her a hot dog. I didn't have time though and just gave her a couple of bucks and told her to go buy her goddamn hot dog. It was tempting though as she didn't have any front teeth.

What's with this bullshiat about printing their full addresses?

Innocent till proven guilty...ever hear of it?

His full address (and phone number) are listed. Put his first+last into Google along with the town and state (Illinois) and it comes right up. Don't want the media printing your full address? Tell the phone company you don't want it listed.

That's a lot of perverts.

Well, he thought it had already been established that she was a whore, so the only thing left was to negotiate price.

Wow... solicitation for sex requires registering as a sex offender? I wonder if that works both ways -- do prostitutes have to register as sex offenders as well?

would he still be charged if he said for free?

Im not a fan of the sex offense list
but that is an actual sex offense

(as opposed to pissing on a tree)

Id be fonder of the sex offenders list if they ... ya know... told us who are the rapists, who are the lonely guys that wanna fark skanky 4 buck hos, who are the guys that want to keep my kids in a basement under their back lawn for 18 years, and who are the guys that had too much beer that night.

This is all POST sentencing info, it should be posted without the need to cross check (or remove the GIS oriented thing, that does more damage than good)

I wonder what the question was.

What can I get for four bucks?

The thing about four dollar lovin' is that it's better than two dollar lovin', but not quite as good as six dollar lovin'.

From wiki:
In much of the United States, public urination, mooning, streaking, and the failure to prevent one's own teenage children from engaging in otherwise consensual sexual activity also result being designated as a sex offender, requiring registration as such in publicly available, online lists.

Never thought about prostitution/johns being part of the sexual offenders list.

What gets me in that passage above is that you can also be a sex offender if you don't put your kids in chastity belts. WTF? The list is all but useless at this point.

How fun would it have been to be standing next to the guy to keep upping the price by a buck every time he made an offer?

The police report on that would be priceless.

feanturi: The list is all but useless at this point

I think if they dont define the nature of the offense, and the list is THAT vague
Its worse than useless, it creates terror "that guy down the road is on the LIST !!!!" never mind the fact that the guy down the road got caught peeing on a tree in yosemite back in 1984.

Its a tool of terror if it is not qualified.

you DONT have to be scared of that guy
but we are told he is the same as the dude that has the kids in the dungeon for 18 years

// ok you should be worried about that guy, if ya know, you are downhill at the time.

So true. If two 17 year olds fark then four parents + the male 17 year old end up on a sex offenders list plus a statutory rape charge thrown in on the 17 male for good measure. Not sure how that's making any neighborhood safer.

I remember when NC made their list public. The local news listed it and their Nancy Grace wannabe was all over. Folks 2 doors down from me where scared because a guy behind them was on it. 17yo tagged a 15yo back in the day and he was being called out on it. That didn't matter....HE WAS A SEX OFFENDER.

I looked at the list, saw that most of them in my area were nailed for, shook my head, don't think I ever looked at it again.

I was solicited for sex once while volunteering at a homeless shelter.

Now that I think about I'm not sure it was solicitation because I don't remember him offering anything in exchange.

Not sure if that's more or less insulting than being offered $4.

That happened to me on Granville street in Vancouver many years ago. Chick offered my a blow job for $10 bucks. Half her face was eaten away by gonorrhea. I gave her $20 and left without said promised blow job.

For the prostitutes, there's a performance criteria.

Now that you have FINALLY caught on, can you pass the word to the cops, politicians and neighborhood busybodies who seem to think the sex-offender registration list is actually protecting anyone or preventing anything except those on the list from being able to find jobs or places to live?

Cuz being on "The List", even for pissing on the sidewalk, pretty much guarantees you will be jobless and homeless until or unless you can persuade the DA to take you off again.

Oh, no ma'am, it's far too late for that.

Back when the press was whipping the population into a frenzy with the worst sex offenses they could report out of a population of 300 million, and the peasants were at gates of City Hall with torches and demanding that the government do something about the problem, there was a chance to avert this. It would have taken strong leadership to stand up to the mob and tell them "no". I suppose it ain't for me to criticise as I haven't tried to run for public office on a "Go Easy on Rapists" platform.

At any rate, now you're locked in. Nobody can stand up in public and say that this stripe of "sex offender" or that should not be persecuted. Nobody's going to run up and pin a medal on you for that sort of heroism and it's just too risky. Suppose you take Mr. Treepisser off the list and he later happens to rape somebody. That will be written up under the headline, "Nun Rapist Was Taken Off Sex Offender List by Bleeding Heart Wingnut Gyrfalcon" and that's the end of your political career.

Why don't these guys that look for street walkers just carry a camera with them? Tell the girl they just want to take naked pictures of them for the $$$ no sex. If the chick takes the cash and goes she is a hooker, if she doesn't, she's a cop. There is nothing illegal about taking nude photos (as long as it is in private). once you get them in the car you negotiate price for other services.

One of the guys I work with got nailed for solicitation years ago. Luckily for him it was before the days of the sex offender registry.
