I'd rather have Vince Young on my roster than Matt Cassell. Vince may not have the stats, but he knows how to win. Matt would make a great backup QB, but he isn't starter material.

That is surprising. Every game I've ever seen Big Ben play, he taxes his offensive line to the limit, and he's just so big that he can get away with it quite a bit.

Of course, Big Ben also has 4 more wins this season.

Big Ben really isn't that good but his team keeps winning so everybody thinks he is. He throws a ton of picks and takes a ton of sacks. He can do this though because he has a great defense to bail him out. When he throws picks it's usually deep so he basically did the same thing as a punt. It's ok though because the defense is going to get him the ball back anyway. If that defense ever falls apart Big Ben will be blamed for the Steelers demise even if he plays at the same level he always has.

Jason Campbell employs a similar strategy. When he sees pressure coming he drops the ball, then pretends he doesn't know where it went so nobody expects him to recover it.

Roethlisberger doesn't throw that many picks...I've seen him throw a couple that are just big shots down the field with seconds left in the half or something like that. Or some sort of freak bounce.



Almost all QB's can't be blamed for at least half their picks....except Jamarcus Russel.....He does it all by himself.

Because we all know that the only quarterbacks who are as bad as Vince Young are JaMarcus Russell, Josh Johnson, David Garrard, Byron Leftwich and Seneca Wallace. These bums get to start while traditional quarterbacks like Brady Quinn, Matt Leinart and Kevin Kolb have to fight for playing time. It's a shame.

Fuuny thing to think about...twice in this decade, K.C. has picked up the backup QB from the super-prolific offensive team from the past 2 years (Cassel from Pats, Trent Green from the Rams). At the midway point of each season, both have/had roughly the same completion rate, same number of TDs...however, Trent had a lot more INTs. It's also worth mentioning that, while Mr. Green had more picks, he also had about +800 yards at this point of his freshman year.

Frankly, I think that says a lot about the quality of our O-line -- the QBs can put up similar numbers, but one of them had enough time to go deep once in a while. Dump passes for 3-4 yards is no way to win football games, son.

Besides the Chiefs lines problems, they need to get rid of Larry Johnson. Guy has been overrated from day one and is nothing but an overpaid nuisance who consistently underperforms the last couple of years.

But as a Raiders fan, I hope they start him until 2016.

LJ only sucks this bad because the Chiefs have no line. This is the same reason Cassel sucks right now as well. This ain't rocket science. I don't think Tom Brady and Adrian Peterson could do well with this team.

Cassel has no O-line, and awful receivers. That doesn't even begin to touch upon the mess is there running back. His D isn't going make winning games any easier for him. I don't think any QB would be able to turn that team around. This is year 1 of a major rebuilding project.

Cassel was only good because the Patriots found out new ways to cheat. It doesn't matter who you put in there at QB, because they are getting the defensive play calls from their sideline. All the Patriots fans that said "You can do the things they did easily without video-taping, so it isn't that big of a deal!!!" are eerily silent on this one.

I'd say the obvious reason would be the receivers in Green Bay being much, much better than the kids in KC. Beyond that, I don't know...

23/35 for 221, a TD and an INT is sucking? It's not amazing, but it should've gotten the job done, had Reed made 1 of 2 or the defense decided to stop someone. And throwing deep suddenly is the mark of a bad quarterback?

I'm not saying he's the top by any means, and he still makes mistakes that make me scratch my head. But considering their list of starters after Bradshaw (Stoudt, Malone, Woodley, Brister, O'Donnell, Tomzczak, Miller, Kordell, Graham, and Maddox), I'm pretty sure I'll take him and be quite happy doing so.

QFT. I've been saying this for a couple years now. If Lord Peterson had bothered to reconstruct his aging O-Line a few years back when it started to head towards the retirement home, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

I've seen the Packers play. They have an inconsistent O-Line, but they have one nonetheless. Watch a Chiefs game (if you can bear it) and you'll see what no O-line looks like. If Cassel has any more than 2 seconds to throw the ball it's because he's ditched the pocket and is running towards the sidelines.

Anyone who has watched at least a few plays of a Chiefs game this year would know it's the o-line and not cassel. I've never seen a qb rushed so fast on *every* down.
