Saw that happen at my niece's high school game a couple years ago. The only people who saw it were me and the pullee's mom. She screamed bloody murder and I laughed my ass off

God... I played soccer my whole life and I never saw anything that blatantly rough. That girl needs to chill. Behavior like that is only used as desperation (i.e. if the b*tch was more skilled, she wouldn't have to do sh*t like that).

A guy that has played for my Old Man League team has been known to come up behind an opponent on set plays...and attempt to stick his thumb up their ass, you know, to break their concentration.

Glad I've never had to play against him.

As great as the hair-pull was, the nonchalant "oh, I'm just kicking this loose ball -- I didn't realize your face was right there" was still my favorite.

How blind do the refs have to be to allow this shiat to happen?

I saw about 3-4 instant red cards in that video clip.

The first punch was fine because the girl blatantly elbowed her in the stomach. The other stuff was unwarranted...but hot. I wonder if she'd be down for some farking and Punching.

Screw that, let 'em play. Theere's all kinds of dirty little tricks that go unnoticed. Earlier this year at a Univ. of Cincinnati game 2 players raced for a ball heading for the touch line. Knowing neither the center ref nor the linesman could see as they both went over the touch line the UC player threw an open hand shot right into the other guys solar plexus.

I almost wonder if she wasn't going for a red card.

In high school we had this guy that was above average, but not a starter. He was usually first off the bench. One of the last games of the season he was trying to get a red-card just so that he would have an official stat.

Sadly, he failed at getting a red card

I'd settle for a public trip to LensCrafters covered by the media. The embarrassment alone would be worth it.

It is a rough game. I've played for about seven years before an injury sidelined me. There is a difference in playing rough when the game is going on. Hard tackles, pushing, shoving, and such are a part of the game. I busted my forehead open once because someone headbutted me during a corner kick. We were both going for the ball, and his head was just harder than my head. That kind of roughness is fine.

What this girl did is not part of the game. She has issues and does not belong in any team sports.

Two things:

A) Holy God that was awesome! If somebody crated the XFL/MMA version of women's soccer I'd but season tickets.

B) This just goes to show what a punch of absolute pansies 99.9% of male soccer players are - pro or amateur - when they fall down and faint every time an opposing player so much as breathes on them.

I hope so. That's completely out of hand. I'm down for rough and aggressive play, but what she did was totally unsportsmanlike. People who tried to pull dirty sh*t on me just got it handed right back to them when I took the ball away from them every single time. Good players don't have to revert to dirty play.

I know, I sound like a pansy, but it's true.

I think they're going to start getting tougher on diving because everyone in the world is seeing it as a problem these days. That sh*t is just as bad as being too dirty, IMOH.

I was a keeper all the way through college. I know that rough play is a expected out of my position (especially on corners or set pieces) but I have never seen anything that blatant last an entire game - keeper or field player alike.

Defenders like that drive a keeper nuts. I'm all for aggressive play, but for crying out loud, if I were her keeper and getting pelted by free kicks for an entire game we'd have to have a few words.

You usually only get one or two of those moments before someone notices. Where were the refs during this? If ESPN can create a highlight package from a womens soccer game you've got to think someone saw that as it was happening.

/ would not want to be her during the film review
// wait, do girls' teams have film review?
/// divers are an abomination to the sport. Heading the ball must create an inner ear/balance issue ;)

I still can't believe there were cameras at a women's soccer game. And not just the team manager's super-8 up in the stands.

It's one thing to caress the supple young buttocks of a center forward, and something entirely different when you're last knuckle deep in their ass in a manner that the cry out in confused pain.

Just sayin'.

No, that's why the scores are always 1-0. That shiat goes on all the time with the men too (except for the ponytails, mostly). You gotta play all oout AND protect your junk

Their lacrosse team was just as bad. The one time we played them they showed up three hours late and brought 8 guys (need 10 for a team). Apparently they were'nt so much interested in playing as they were in assaulting us. We left the field 9 minutes into the game after they were called for their 9th personal foul.

All kinds of dirty tricks happen in pro matches:
1.bp.blogspot.com
(that guy was just unlucky he got caught on camera)

Once there was a case of serious UFIA on a pro match around here. Defender sticks hand too far. Attacker punches defender in the face. Attacker gets sent off.

When facing the discipline board, guy just went with the tv images and said "What was I supposed to to, I was being sexually assaulted!". I believe they gave him the minimum suspension the rules allowed.

It was the semifinals of the Conference Tournament. Their season is over unless they get an extremely unlikely bid to the NCAA Tournament. In fact, I have no idea if they are any good at all, but bullshiat play like that getting publicized probably killed any chance they had at an invitation.

There were probably only 2 refs, and with so many boobies bouncing around, it's not like they can see every little thing that goes on.

Diving has nothing to do with the toughness of the players. They are trying to sell fouls. The penalty for diving is usually the ref telling the player to get up. I believe FIFA made a rule change that diving received an automatic yellow, but they are rarely given. On the other hand, a successful dive will win a free kick or penalty kick for the player's team.
