Truth. I was in high school when the flap went down. I remember we were all aware that JL's words were being willfully misinterpreted, and the whole event gave us a sour feeling about the news media, and the attention whores who exploit these non-issues to promote their own agendas. Did nothing to lessen our cynicism about how our elders were running the world, either.
