You gotta admit, at least the GOP is entertaining. In the era of American Idol and such other reality nonsense shows that poll America for a vote on who's best, maybe voters will think that elections are reality shows, and the funniest, most entertaining lot should win.

I think he meant transcendent. The libs just can't comprehend their crippling losses lat night. It's going to be glorious in 2010 when the rug just comes flying out from underneath them. America will get their revenge, and the Dems will finally realize that we don't want a socialist agenda throbbing with overt Marxism rammed down our throats.

I have to admit that I really don't comprehend what the GOP is trying to do right now. Maybe Michael Steele could explain it on his million dollar blog.

2009-11-04 05:07:06 PM
I heard that as "effervescent".

Every time I hear a Republican open his or her mouth, I feel like taking some Alka-Seltzer.

You libtards with all your snobby education thinking it makes you better than the rest of REAL America that has to worry about real problems. I can't till 2012 when your messiah is run out of town and the Republicans can dissolve that bloated education department filled with teachers unions and return the power of education back to the states WHERE IT BELONGS!!!

But in the linked article, he uses the term "Freedoms" which I love more than any other GOP make 'em up word.

The GOP is ascendant, not transcendent, and always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom.

That was the dumbest interview I remember reading in ages. It didn't matter how many times the guy tried to explain that "nuance" wasn't a criticism. Michael was having none of it and solidified his role as a moron.

The "loss" of two state governorships is not "critical". The most interesting story is the New York congressional election. Also interesting is that Bloomberg outspent his opponent by a factor of about 10 to 1 and scraped through to a win.

Or ... he meant exactly what he said when he used the word transcendent ("exceeding usual limits"); meaning a party that just won two governors races in states that are not Republican strongholds, that also voted overwhelming Democrat twelve months ago. Of course, I'm not a smug columnist who went to Yale, so maybe I'm wrong.

This guy is just a fool. What up indeed.

2009-11-04 08:29:22 PM
Michael Steele has another thing coming if he thinks this sort of malapropism will fly in all 57 states. His Leadership of the party of "No" is preventing children with asthma from getting the breathalyzers they need from a Government Health Care system run like the US Post Office. He should be thinking of that before commenting on the massive loss Republicans had on November 3rd.
