Eh, the conservative talk radio jerk jocks already sent it out there, so it's gospel by now.

FTFC:

the sad thing is it was very believable. And given the position Obama fills it's a sad state of affairs that it fits his M.O.

Priceless.

make me some tea: Eh, the conservative talk radio jerk jocks already sent it out there, so it's gospel by now.

Yep. Look no further than the Wall Street Journal.

Visualingo: Who gives a shiat?

He should have been....well I'm not sure what, but either not watching TV or not watching elitist documentaries. World's wildest police chases on TRU TV would have been a good start.

2009-11-04 05:08:05 PM
Oh wait, it's been debunked? Well then fake but accurate!

Same guy who originally posted it there is also the one posting the retraction. I'm impressed.

Who the hell actually believes stuff like that?

2009-11-04 05:43:43 PM
I flipped between that documentary and live coverage of the election results last night, so I'm getting a kick out of these replies.

Guess what: I was able to concentrate on the documentary, get up to the minute election results, and chat with The Boy all at the same time.

And I *don't* have a political staff of hundreds of people.

I really want to see this doc. I remember hearing about it during the campaign, and was psyched.

It's a sad state of affairs when it's believable that certain media personalities may have committed certain criminal acts in 1990.

Woah, woah, that post was nigh on incoherent! That's not like you, man... usually, your posts are well thought out, original, intelligent, and concise!

Oh wait- exactly the opposite of that. My bad.

You can debunk most of what Fox News says just by using Google.

And what would be so horrible if he did?

Lionel Mandrake: And what would be so horrible if he did?

Because if he was watching the election results he could more ably employ his liberal telekinetic powers to skew the numbers. This requires a lot of concentration and won't work if he's eating Cheez-Its and watching a documentary.

That's when my liberal telekinetic powers are at their most powerful.

Pretty much. Though, most of Fox's viewers don't know how to use the googles.

So what? Fox "News" has the right to make crap up. They even sued to make sure that they did.

Wasn't NewsBusters one of the places that 'broke' this ignorant lie?

2009-11-04 09:31:52 PM
Fox News has become so deranged and petty they're now lying about the president watching HBO. Really think about that for a moment.

Geek Squad charges an extra $50 to install that, and in the Obama economy, who has that type of cash to spare?

If someone made a documentary about me and put it on TV I would watch it.

I'm not quite sure what to make of the PITA on this particular submission.

Maybe a falafel or something....

I'm no Obama fan, but COME ON--

how many of you dildos who are all pissed off at this, WOULDN'T watch a documentary on HBO about yourself?

No, I think that most of Fox News' viewers know how to use teh Googles, but they are just such sheepfarkers farking sheep that if someone on Fox News says "It's true! Look it up!" they see that as being the same as actually having cited a source.

2009-11-04 09:44:36 PM
Foxnews was right about Obama watching a documentary about himself, but it was called V.

Could be. It's just amazing how I keep getting these silly emails from members of my family which are so easily broken apart by a simple Snopes article.

Barack Hussein Obama is so out of touch with America he hasn't even seen the HBO documentary about the '08 election.

Once again, Zero is an empty suit who's in way over his head.

I'm sure Barry had some of his spin masters watching it to make sure there weren't too many references to his days living in that scummy apartment in New York where he was blowing lines and farking trashy hos along with his drug-slinging roommate.

There was a time before Obama wore tailored suits - when his wardrobe consisted of $5 military-surplus khakis and used leather jackets, and he walked the streets of Manhattan for lack of bus fare. It was a time well before the political arena beckoned, when his friends thought he might become a writer or a lawyer, but certainly not the first black man with a real chance to become president of the United States.

Obama spent the six years between 1979 and 1985 in Los Angeles at Occidental College and then in New York at Columbia University and in the workplace. His memoir, "Dreams From My Father," talks about this time but not in great detail; Siddiqi, for example, is identified only as "Sadik" - "a short, well-built Pakistani" who smoked marijuana, snorted cocaine and liked to party.
...
The apartment was "a slum of a place" in a drug-ridden neighborhood filled with gunshots, he said. "It wasn't a comfortable existence. We were slumming it." What little furniture they had was found on the street, and guests would have to hold their dinner plates in their laps.

Is this FNC's new motto? A continuation of Rush's "he didn't actually say it, but you know he was thinking it"?

WFern: Fox News has become so deranged and petty they're now lying about the president watching HBO. Really think about that for a moment.

But really "Fox new has become so deranged and petty that..." is one of those sentences we have found ourselves forming every single day since Obama was sworn into office. There really are no new depths for them to plumb. They scraped through the bottom of the barrel a good long while ago and they're now down to bedrock. Having established beyond any possible doubt that there is no lie so absurd their audience won't swallow it, and no faux outrage so petty that their audience won't work themselves into a froth about it there's really not much point in their changing their MO at this point, is there?

davidphogan: Who the hell actually believes stuff like that?

90% of Fox News viewers? They won't believe the retraction, though.

The other 10% are the non-conservatives gathering ammo against Fox News.
