I'm not saying that I want to run over Dan Snyder with a bus. I'm not even saying that I want to see him hit by a bus. I'm just saying that if there was a bus, and Dan Snyder just happened to occupy the same space as that bus at exactly the same moment in time, I don't think I'd be too upset about it.

If he actually had a clip on tie and it fell off in the middle of the speech, this would be fark-worthy. As it stands, this is crap.

The img1.fark.net tag really should be for the fact that the Redskins still have a better record than 7 other teams.

I make an effort to be a positive person and keep negative things out of my life, but for 20 min each day to and from work, I swim in the sea of hate and despair that is the Redskins fan. I get it out of my system and come home a happy husband and father.

Redskins fans don't want him to apologize for the losing record. We've dealt with crappy seasons before.

What we want is for him to apologize for the exorbitant parking fees. For the overpriced watered-down beer. For all the bullcrap he's pulled on us, overcharging for everything he possibly can! For having the network spend more gametime showing him palling around with Tom Cruise, than they do showing the action on the field.

For being a complete douchebag of a team owner.

And why is it so hard to find them these days? I've been looking for one for time out of mind.

I love the awkward moment where he asks the crowd to applaud for the guys behind them and nobody claps so he has to ask a second time. Classic.
I once tried the 'give it up for the bad!' line when I MCed a small event and it bombed just as spectacularly so I'm glad billionaires can tank just like me.

I don't hate the Redskins, I don't hate their fans, I feel sorry for them. Their owner, on the other hand, brings forth the urge to stab.

And the thing is, the Cleveland Brown situation is much more fark-worthy.
Team is a disaster (much worse than the Skins).

Just fired the GM, 4 months into a 4 year deal. Owner is trying to weasel out of the GM's contract as he is paying off the years left owed to the old GM and Coach for foolish extensions he gave them.

His hand-picked coach (hired without any real competition after he was canned from the Jet's for being a self-centered douche who the players and fans despised) turns out to be a self-centered douche who the players and fans despise. He has a four year deal too.

Fans' threats of embarrassing actions during the game are national sports news. He had to meet with them, and they still are going to keep on him, even after the meeting.

And they play in a tough division- so they may not win 5 games in two years, never mind one.

Traded their best WR for $.30 on the dollar- he immediately started playing well for the Jets.

At #2: Don't forget the team run by a senile nutjob, and "led" by Coach Punchy McSlappy-- aka da Raiders.

Reposting from the Browns thread that died yesterday because I think it's applicable to the 'Skins as well.

In my opinion the best GMs hold to a few basic philosophies:
1: Build through the draft.
2: Build your lines first.
3: Build to fit your scheme.

It's like every crappy team now thinks their problem is at QB and if they were to just draft the next Peyton Manning, they'd turn into a perennial 12 win team like the Colts. So they blow high draft picks on skill positions and make big moves for free agents and then continue losing because their skill guys get injured or can't grasp the scheme.

Problem is, guys that can carry a team on their backs like Manning or Barry Sanders get into the HOF because that shiat ain't normal. You can't win if you base your entire philosophy around drafting of the top 10 skill players of a given decade because not only can't you predict that ahead of time, but there aren't enough of them to go around.

The NFL isn't Madden. If there's a choice between a skill player and a big guy in the first round, you take the big guy. The only reason Bears fans didn't pitch a fit when Angelo traded the Bears future away to get Cutler is because Angelo ALWAYS drafts for flash in the first round and 80% of the time completely farks it up. So the Bears figured if we're going to blow draft picks on a flashy QB, at least get one who's played an NFL game.

There's always a Pierre Thomas or Johnny Knox waiting in the later rounds. Linemen last longer, cost less, and make the everyone around them look better. Draft the big guy.

The Redskins will never be a great team as long as Dan owns them. It's the same in Baltimore. The Orioles will never compete as long as Peter Angelos owns the team. Owners who know nothing about the sport they own but insist on making decisions on personnel, will always fail. All you can do is hope they sell the team or die. That's all I have to say about that.

I'm going to hate myself for saying this, but I agree with what Mike Golic said this morning: If this is such a copycat league, why can't owners copy successful GMs? Why can't the dozen lousy teams could look at the Patriots, Colts, Dolphins, Steelers, Giants, Eagles, or Ravens and copy their management style?

I'm a skins fan. I also realize that Washington will never have a good football team until Dan Snyder is no longer the owner.

Go Caps! Thankfully, I'm a bigger hockey fan than football.

its time for the skins fans to move on... i know i have. im so so sick of going on facebook and seeing people biatch about them while wearing their jerseys and going to the games. STOP THROWING MONEY AT THEM.

im a steelers fan now, take that Dan!

He banned signs at Redskins games because the signs were putting him down. So people started writing on their t-shirts and he banned any writing on t-shirts that was "offensive". And offensive meant anything putting down him or the Redskins. Ticket takers actually make people turn their t-shirts inside out. Free speech? It ends at the gates of Fedex Field. You shall not put down der fuhrer!

Fair-weather fan.

I'm still loyal to the Redskins as a team. Even though they absolutely suck right now. I will always be a Redskins fan.

That said, I'm not giving Daniel Snyder any more money. I'm not going to the games. Not buying the merchandise. Not giving my money to any of the businesses he owns. If enough of us boycott Snyder, but not the team, then he'll go into enough debt that he'll HAVE to sell the team.

Hopefully to a competent owner.

That's the problem with making an economic impact on most sports franchises. You're gonna show me by cancelling your tickets? Okay, go to the back of the line. Good luck seeing those seats again in your lifetime.

A good number of DC area residents are not DC area natives, including me, and therefore don't root for the Skins. But the local media lives and dies by the Skins. Even the Capitals, a great franchise with an excellent owner, are second-class citizens in this town.

So it warms my heart to turn on the tv or radio and watch/hear the pundits busting a vein over how bad the Skins are. The Skins suck. They've sucked for a long time and they're going to suck for a long time to come. Get used to it. Stop supporting Wee Danny Snyder and go see what a real sports franchise looks like- the Caps.

/As naughty accountant already said, the DC sports teams suck. Nationals, Wizards and Skins are awful.

They do copy successful teams. They just copy the wrong things.

They look at the Patriots last year and conclude, "The Patriots have two franchise QBs! Let's trade for Cassel because he'll make us good!" They didn't copy the fact that Cassel had 5 seconds to throw on every down and a defense that got him the ball more times than normal. So the Chefs put a serviceable QB behind a horrid O line and act shocked when his passer rating drops 15 points.

Teams look at the Dolphins and say, "They tell teams when they're going to run and Ronnie Brown and Smokey McDope still rush all over people! Let's draft/trade for a superstar running back!" They don't copy the fact that the Fins have spent 2 out of their last 5 first round picks on offensive tackles.

Teams look at the Colts and decide, "They have one of the best QBs of all time carrying their team! Let's hype up a college QB every year and believe he'll do the same for us!" They don't account for the fact that guys like Peyton come along twice a decade, and they especially don't account for the fact that Jeff Saturday has been completely stoning inside rushes for all of Peyton's career.

In defense of the Nats, they're 4 years out of Montreal. With new management (although the owners suck) coming on board I'm really hoping for next season...And I will continue to support them over Angelos's Orioles.
