The year Steve Martin hosted the Oscars and irritated the hell out of Russell Crowe was the greatest Oscars telecast in recent memory.

A lot of people must have seriously worried that Crowe was going to charge the stage by the night's end.

Alec Baldwin has been replaying that role from Miami Blues forever.

As long as they do it as Jack Donaghy and Gavin Volure.

Of course Alec Baldwin closes! He drove to the Oscars in a Mazarati, and you were brought to the Oscars in a Hyundai!

Miami Blues is a really underrated movie. Terrible title, great flick.

Blues, Glengarry (of course) and Red October were the only good movies Baldwin made in the 90's.

I personally liked Parenthood, L.A. Story, Grand Canyon and Bowfinger. I can even tolerate Father of the Bride, HouseSitter, and Sgt. Bilko. It's basically the stuff he's been doing since 2000 that I find unwatchable.

To be fair, Martin only does movies at all in order to finance his personal art collection. Seriously, he owns the largest private collection of modern art in the country.

I'd have to say Eddie Murphy is wider.

Martin's highs go a bit higher than Murphy (like a 9 vs. a 7-8), but his lows go really low (like a 2 for Martin vs. a negative 50 for things like Pluto Nash, Norbit, Meet Dave).

Bob Hope

Mickey Rooney
Joseph Cotten didn't even get the 15. Quickly did nothing but crap.
Rob Reiner's directorial career has been like that

I'm sure it's a common pattern.

I've heard Cage has done a really terrific job in Herzog's "Bad Lieutenant", seems like he's really hammed it up.

He had to. Herzog threatened to shoot him if he didn't.
