Hey, I get it. Like the Kobyashi Maru from the Star Trek movie she was in. Wasn't she hot back then?

She already televised her failed weight-loss attempts in the form of Jenny Craig commercials.

Pff. Robin Curtis' Saavik was way hotter.

Taleya: Pff. Robin Curtis' Saavik was way hotter.

Hotter is according to your preferences, I disagree. But I think it goes without saying that Alley was a far better actress. Curtis couldn't act the part of a dead woman without screwing it up

Yes, and remember, the Kobayashi Maru was meant to be a no-win situation. So, yeah, the parallels are astonishing. ;)

Maybe in the next film, Abrams can have the Enterprise crew come back in time and save humanity by rescuing Kirstie Alley.

She clearly seems to have forgotten that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the view, or the one. Logic, therefore, dictates that the show be axed.

If she quit playing with her E-meter all the time and walked long distances, she'd do a lot better.

The purpose is to experience fear,
fear in the face of certain death

In other words Kirstie Alley in the reverse cowgirl position

The most sad part of all of this is the way she dove straight in, headfirst, into being fat. That kind of arrogant fat that derides women who aren't fat, and mocks people for not thinking that the morbidly obese are sexy. Her husband got out when she could still see her toes.

2009-11-04 12:46:36 AM
Wow, subby, you could host the Jay Leno show.

She'll be replaced by Kim Catrall in the sixth episode.

The English Major: She'll be replaced by Kim Catrall in the sixth episode.

Different Character.

Robin Curtis replaced Kirstie Alley as Saavik for Trek 3 and 4, and Kim Catrall was Valeris in Trek 6.

Originally, the character was going to be Saavik, but Gene Roddenberry biatched, saying that fans would be pissed off if Saavik were to become a traitor.

But they never did address what happened to Saavik and Spock's child from their wild night of Pon Farr on the Genesis Planet.

/as this post proves, I really need to get laid. Would even take modern Kirstie Alley at this point.

Spock married Saavik in the novels.

That's what geeks are for.

I thought I remembered Spock and Saavik getting married in the novels, but nothing ever happened onscreen. And never will now, I guess, in this plastic fantastic nu-Trek era.

Spoke MARRIED Saavik?

Bit of an age gap there, I think.

/has too many Trek books already, but most date from the early 90's.
