My company works with them a lot. I'm not surprised. They are a very bloated company with a lot of useless people. Like having five people do the job that one could easily do.

What a dick. They're totally getting the shaft. It's going to be hard on them. Penis.

Holy shiat, that's a lot of layoffs. And here I thought things were starting to turn around.

FTA: As for health care reform, management has said it needs more clarity on what any future plan could look like before assessing a more concrete impact on the business.

HAHAHAHAHA. Good luck getting that from Congres...

I'd die of shock when one of these cocksmoker ceos actually gives up their enormous salary to retain employees through a rough quarter.

Well, that's out of 118,000 workers. Plus, it doesn't say how many are actual layoffs. A company that size can cut its workforce down quite a bit simply by not replacing people who quit or retire.

Why would a company keep employees they can do without? When less people are employed, companies can do more things for the community. Like help the executive get his next Porsche.

J&J's CEO makes $10 million a year. Assuming the average employee costs the company $60,000(which I'd wager is quite a bit low because the company also pays for benefits above salary) if the CEO were to forgo his pay it would save 167 jobs or 2% of those being laid off. Big whoop.

To those 167 employees and their families and the businesses they patronize It's a a big deal. Certainly a bigger deal than whatever shiat he's gonna gonna buy for $10M.

/Not really trying to take he whole "eat the rich" position, just that you sound like kind of an ass the "big whoop" thing.

Did they purchase the extra KY they need?

Just the usual reminder here that some of the world's population would very much enjoy getting the Johnson, including yours truly. NTTAWWT.

That said, I am still in awe that we haven't Bastille'd the amazingly overpaid execs. Weldon received over $29 million in compensation last year as Chair of the Board.

/awe

Wrong_Intentions: Not really trying to take he whole "eat the rich" position, just that you sound like kind of an ass the "big whoop" thing.

I sound like an ass because fury211 labors under the belief that the whole problem could be solved if J&J's CEO gave up his pay, which is demonstrably false. Stupid hyperbole like that ruins discussions on whether corporate pay is excessive or companies are being assholes.

So if it takes being an ass to prove someone wrong and keep a discussion grounded in reality, well then I dont give a shiat.

Wait a minute, subby. I thought the recession was over. Isn't everybody supposed to be going back to work with all of the new jobs that are being created in the strong upsurge?

One thing about trolls is that they don't ignore anybody because they eat every scrap of attention. If non-trolls find someone offensive they are eventually moved to block them.

If this person wrote you letters like this, you'd start throwing them out unread.

Good work, Subby.
You were able to make a headline that did not combine the words "Johnson" and "cuts" or "slashes".
