2009-11-02 11:32:14 PM
As a Philly boy originally from the south I can say I hate the Yankees and hope they burn in hell.

*golf clap for the headlinej*

They're not dead yet.

I wonder if the Yankees realize they should stop pitching to Chase Utley?

AJ was out after 2+. If Girardi let him finish the 3rd, I think we would still be playing that inning with the Philles on top 907-1. Of course, if Posada has been the starting catcher, AJ would have sucked more. Or something

Seriously. My fiancee, who barely watches baseball but tolerates it during the playoffs and series finally said "Geez, this inning just won't end."

Good tag choice, Subby.

Looking forward to Game 6! Utley & Werth are dialed in, Rollins and Chooch are playing well, and if Howard ever shows up, the Phillies are set. Even so, I like their odds against Pettitte on short rest.

Hate to break it to you, but Lee kicked Yankee ass all over the mid Atlantic states for the better part of 3 years.

He wasn't selected out of a hat... he is merely fulfilling his awesome potential.

Your guys loaded our best pitcher up with five runs and still lost. Save your sanity and go to bed... your homeboys are still ahead.

I'm sure Utley's agent has already put the Yankees on his speed dial.

I felt this loss coming all day and it still pained me to see them so close at the end.
Now to begin the countdown until game 6...

Would'a been funnier with the headline, "It's been 140 years since a Southerner named Lee beat the Yankees, now one has done it twice in one week." The whole, "Yabut who won the war?" would fit a hell of a lot better if/when the Yankees take the series.

Both sets are intolerable. You'll never have more fights break out than when Eagles/Phillies/76ers/Flyers fans come visit your stadium. 'cept maybe Raiders.
