I really don't get about the problem with gays getting married according to the ones against. I see nothing wrong with gays getting married at all. The opposition seems to have this excuse where it's against federal law for gays to marry because of DOMA, considering some of these people are campaigning for the government to get off of their backs, whether it is state or federal for other purposes.

I hope the people who are dissent from gay couples should at least know how a lot of them live, because I have a feeling that they are gonna be surprised how many gays live their lives. As NORMAL people.

There's a subculture that's openly gay that's pretty much what you've described, but they're not really the types to go out and get hitched and try to raise a kid. You're confusing groups because of a shared characteristic, kind of like accusing goth teenagers of being stuck-up, tea-drinking pricks with impeccable ettiquette because, like 18th-century british gentry, they often have a visible watch chain hanging from their pocket.

Also, the "men want sex an women don't" thing is not only incorrect, it's worn and tired. A century ago it was "all women want is sex and male is the only gender capable of even minor self-control", and that was wrong too.

I was talking with a friend the other day about equality in general. We came to the conclusion that true equality does not come with tolerance, acceptance or condoning a behavior, race, gender, etc. It comes with the same general apathy you have towards anything that isn't a threat.
