For years, I thought the song Rhythm Of The Night was sung by a chick, but someone pointed out that it was actually a man singing:

He's a really ugly chick...in a Michael Jackson sort of way.

It's OK, but I prefer Wierd Al's take on it.

I hate the unerverse and everything in it because of this song.

I banish thee to Hell! Die, die, Die!

You are all putrid!

Die.

Just not that fond of this song.

Poor El Debarge, it must be tough to go from being a hugely successful musician to a two bit crack smoking wife beating ex-con.

They were playing it on VH1 Classic, so I figured I'd submit it and let others join in on the fun.

I was disappointed this wasn't on his Essential release. Then again, I have everything he owns, but it would have been nice.

Godammit. Now that song will be stuck in my head for the next two days.

yeah I was surprised by that too, but then again, there's so much to include that something is going to get left out.

Very true. I was just thankful Amish Paradise was on there.
I think the Essential Releases that I've been most satisfied with are Leonard Cohen's and Bruce Springsteen's.

Bob Dylan, New Order, ELO, OMD, The Cars, The The, The Pogues, OMD, U2, Radiohead (even if I submit headlines mocking both bands), Pet Shop Boys, Buzzcocks, Arcade Fire, Rolling Stones, Echo & the Bunnymen AND BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN???

One of these things just doesn't belong.

Arcade Fire? It's Arcade Fire right? Right? No? Uhh....

I love some cheesy 80's synth r&b pop (Rumors, My Prerogative, Head to Toe, Mercedes Boy, anything by Janet Jackson) but this song stinks.

Just my opinion.

Hmm. I guess I need to add Clapton, Cheap Trick, Nick Lowe, Fleetwood Mac, John Mellencamp, and Duran Duran to that list. Thanks for spotting that!

/I'll keep the Kings of Leon and Vampire Weekend off that list

Ahh, the 80's, when effeminate guys in bands could score chicks, and actually want the chicks. Wait.. that's now too innit?
