Are there really 800 celebrities in the world?

2009-11-02 11:17:20 AM
I approve of the Jessica Alba bending over pics.

Want to touch the hiney.

Allow me to be the first to say I'd love to get in Allyson Hannigan's pouch, if you know what I mean.

The celebrities should have been costumed as other celebrities thereby creating a mirror reflecting pop culture's empty values.

Earguy: Are there really 800 celebrities in the world?

Nah, it's just 800 pictures. Christina Aguilera has like 30 pictures up there.

Anyway, alas, kind of a boring link. You'd expect at least some creativity. The most creative thing there was the the cast of the Today Show going as the cast of Star Wars, so that tells you a lot.

Let me guess, half are dressed up like the Crow, right?

2009-11-02 11:47:01 AM
Thanks for the summary of names and not a slide show. One quick look told me it was people I had never heard of.

CTRL + F, "Christina Hendricks," no results, meh.

I approve of Dushku's outfit.

Jon Stewart and his family are so cute.

Of course, he should be married to ME, but still, damn cute family.

Can anyone tell me if Kate Beckinsales daughter is dressed up as Columbia from Rocky Horror? If so that is amazing

An earlier article had her listed as a circus ringmaster or something.

Yeah...that's Columbia.

Who cares? In a society where people complain, understandably, about how often they have to stare at photos of Jon & Kate, Sarah Palin, and Octomom, we do NOTHING to stop it. Instead, we have websites and television shows that do nothing but showcase what other people who are wealthy and famous (many for NO REASON) wear, say, and do.

Why is it that people who DO deserve fame and fortune, namely scientists, teachers, and others who positively influence the world, are shunned to what Regis and whatshername wore on the Halloween episode of their show? UGH.

It does not say 800 celebrities, Einstein, it says 800 photos of celebrities.

This is why I hate public education.

LOL! When I saw the Alyson Hannigan costume the other day, my first thought was "wow...her hubby's really just phoning it in, with a kangaroo hat."

I had no idea he had a kangaroo tail too.

In some societies the women were banished to special out of the way places during that time of the month. Maybe you should look into doing something like that next month.

Let me guess--you're either a scientist or a teacher.

Neither. But why assume I am? Do I need to be to have a valid point, or NOT have one? Whats so wrong with celebrating people who ADVANCE the human race, instead of making us feel like a mockery of ourselves. Think about the people that influenced your life the most. Was it some asshole on a reality show?

Nicksteel, still testy from our last encounter of me calling you out like the DBAG you are?

Once again:

Hardy-r-r: The celebrities should have been costumed as other celebrities thereby creating a mirror reflecting pop culture's empty values.

But in doing so, they create meta-commentary about the nature of pop culture's empty values, thus demonstrating that pop culture has depth and insight.

And you seek this on the Showbiz tab? That's hilarious. That and if a celebrity Halloween slideshow makes you feel like a mockery of yourself, dude you really need to switch to decaf.

That and right now that picture of Debbie Gibson is having a rather profound influence on me.

That has to be creepy, walking up to a photographer, walking past, and walking away, all the time he's there snapping photos.

I would be far more interested in what the wonderfully creative farkers-farkettes dressed up as! Anyone? (I didn't dress up this year...)

Spent all night getting blank stares, and then the last party I went to had a group of people as various Nicolas Cage characters and it made the whole costume worth it.

Thanks for the pic, Brown Sauce -- Alyson is adorable as a kangaroo!

So much so that I'm not even put off by the kid whose existence I've been denying!

/She's not married, either, in my universe.

Here's the thing. There are plenty of people who dress up as Stephen Hawking for Halloween; There aren't very many who dress up as Eliza Dushku.

Which we probably should thank the nether gods for.

There's a Playboy Playmate called Laura Croft, and she went as Snow White instead of Laura Croft from Tomb Raider. AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS THAT IS NOT OKAY?!
