Clinton is a unilateral war-monger for attacking a country that posed no threat to the USA.

I know dude, the occupation was a near decade long disaster.

Fail. NATO was pretty much okay with the bombing campaign, so I'd hardly call it unilateral.

/of course, projection is nothing new on Fark.

FTFA: "I never expected that anywhere, someone would make such a big statue of me,"

For some reason I found this entertaining. It's not that he didn't expect someone to make him a statue, what surprised him was the size.

It doesn't seem nearly as funny typing out a post pointing it out. It's 3:15 in the morning. Give me a break already.

It was vigilante justice. Doing the right thing isn't always legal, especially when the law is outdated.

Clinton should have gotten the Noble peace prize, for bombing the genocidal motherfarkers back too the stone age.

Yeah, and most effigies are way more combustible.

probably didn't make it any funnier but it's the best I can do at 9:00am, even with caffeine.

We don't do these kinds of things in the US. It is weird that we did it for Lincoln.

Ok, we do it. But most of the founding fathers would not be happy about it. Especially Mt. Rushmore.

I chuckled at that too, even though I vaguely remembered that this isn't his first statue (new window - totally SFW).

Uh, the UN didn't back it. If it did, it wouldn't be illegal.

Ah, so. You are correct.

The legitimacy of NATO's bombing campaign in Kosovo has been the subject of much debate. NATO did not have the backing of the United Nations Security Council because the war was opposed by permanent members with ties to Yugoslavia, in particular Russia, who had threatened to veto any resolution authorizing force. -- wiki

But, then...

UN Security Council voted 12-3 in rejecting a Russian-sponsored resolution to end NATO bombing of Yugoslavia -- some other website

You are clearly unaware of the ego of Washington....

How he wished to portray himself as pretty much a legendary God in statues and paintings, he would have creamed to know he'd be put in that form.

I love the man and all, but you really just do not seem to know what you are talking about; strike II. Don't strike out.

That "other website" is messing up the wording. Russia wanted a vote to "condemn" the bombings, which is an official sign of disapproval. They couldn't "end" the bombings because they didn't start them. The Kosovo bombings were opposed because they were argued for in terms of humanitarian intervention, which doesn't come up in the UN Charter as an automatic exception to the norm of non-intervention. In addition, states like Russia and China didn't want to set a precedent where the Security Council was okaying humanitarian intervention - that was the underlying reason for their opposition, not just friendliness with Serbia.

Meh, hes a Democrat so it's allowed.

Just like no one calls Bush a Big government liberal spendthrift despite all the money he blew on social programs and African aid ETC. Its always that way.Dems can get away with doing stuff a Pub would get slammed for and Pubs can get away with doing some stuff a Dem would be blasted for.
