It's been about 15 minutes for me, and doesn't look like it's anywhere close to finishing. It's gone from "hopelessly clueless" to "it's gotta be a joke". Good god. Is the author's PC Deep Thought with a 12ft wide monitor?

1. No blinking text. Ever. Don't break this rule for any reason.
2. Animated gifs should be avoided. When used, less is more.
3. Your front page should load within five seconds under normal circumstances.
4. Keep your font selection to a minimum. Avoid the "ransom note" look. If you use Comic Sans, I will hunt you down and kill you, your family, and your pet dog.
5. If you use ActiveX, I will hack your website and load it with horse porn. Using ActiveX is considered an invitation to hack.
6. The entire world is not Windows and Internet Explorer. Remember that when putting together your website.
7. Do NOT auto-play music or sound effects.

I would say its even less than that. Seems its about 1/8 of the total page. This is the largest web page I have ever encountered or even heard of.

And while I'm on the subject of better website design. A simple way to see how well you thought things out is to disable style sheets, javascript, and images entirely. Is your website legible? Can you navigate it? If you have forms, can you fill them out? If not, you have failed.

Also, disabling all that extra crap gives you an idea of what a person with sight limitations has to deal with.
