How about the Jews in The Passion of the Christ? They don't count?

It's nice to see the Reavers get some love at #10.

WTF was that numbering/page method? It wasn't a half bad list but it was set up awkward as hell.

I know. It's like the guy who put it together couldn't decide to start at the top or bottom, so he did a little of both.

CheetahOlivetti well I know what will be haunting my dreams for a bit.

Pennywise as #1. I'm ok with that since that pic still makes me wet myself a little.

Okay, I don't want to be one of those whiny nerdragers, but I can't help it in this case.

These guys think that the Predator is scarier than the Alien? Seriously? SERIOUSLY?

What a horrendously formatted list. But it's not a terrible list.

2009-10-31 03:11:40 PM
The list had a ton of things that really were more creepy than actually scary. Plus, they reference one of the characters from Quarantine but nothing from [REC], which is just an automatic fail.

Did you know they made a sequel? I've heard it's the equivalent of Aliens to Alien, sort of.

Indeed I certainly did. It is my most anticipated horror film of the coming year. (new window)

Maybe it's just me but I'm getting tired of all the love given to
Pennywise.

Tim does a good job but still, it was a fair book at best and a bad movie/mini series.

I've never heard of [REC]. I'm trying to find a couple good horror movies for tonight. Is this one pretty highly recommended?

I never made the connection that Pennywise was Tim Curry. Good choice.

YES. It scared the shiat out of me, which is hard to do. Some Redboxes might still have it, so I'd check there too.

Clowns have never unnerved me (the actions undertaken by one certain individual who performed as a clown in Illinois during the 70's notwithstanding), so "It" didn't do much for me frightwise.

Yes. In my eyes, it is the flat-out scariest film produced during the past decade. As always, my experience very much might not match yours.

God is in his holy temmmmmmmple...

Yeah. That guy can go the hell away.

And I do owe a sincere "Thanks, Mom!" for watching that movie when I was 4 or 5 and couldn't sleep. I'm forever terrified of the worm in tequila.

Witches, monsters, demons and ghosts don't scare me.

In order to be scared by them I have to BELIEVE in witches, monsters, demons and ghosts. They are all fabricated fantasy and that is just not scary to me.

Here is what scared the sh*t outta me:

The two mountain men from DELIVERANCE.
Robert Mitchum from NIGHT OF THE HUNTER
The two ex-cons from IN COLD BLOOD (the scene where they murder the son and father in the basement and then their footsteps coming upstairs to the mother and daughter)
Henry from HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER
The opening "Utah Beach" scene from SAVING PRIVATE RYAN
.....and most of all,
the "Indianapolis" speech scene from JAWS.

Nothing is more terrifying than terrifying reality.

Because when they intended a character to be a villain on that show, they didn't sugar-coat it.
