The article doesn't give you the fully story about what was going on.
They were in hot pursuit of a 13 year old shoplifter who stole a pair of ipod headphones.
He got away.

My wife is Croatian. My in-laws eat, sleep, and breath all things Croatia. They would not get a kick out of this.

it's sad how nationalistic eastern europeans can be, the shiattier the country the more hardcore the nationalism. i know you see it all over the world but a eastern euro is more likely to make you into a lifelong enemy and get violent just for getting his country ribbed on.

You feel the need to "rib" on other countries?

The only one worthy of making fun of is Canada, and only because of those Frenchy-wannabes in Quebec. That country has a real identity crisis: It can't decide if it wants to be like a US "flyover red state", Chicago, or douchebag language snobs who practice double standards, just to make life difficult for everybody else.

It sounds like that Romanian guy says "thank you" to the cameraman in English. I looked up 'thank you' in Romanian and it's 'Mult'umesc'. Why the heck would he thank the guy in English?

did i really need to see that again? i mean really? does the video creator think im incapable of pausing and rewinding the video myself, and needed his slow-mo recap?

i hate that shiat.

as far as the video, i guess croatia would be a good place to go on a crime spree.

I'm pretty sure cops in most places would get all uptight about you touching their gun even if it was to give it back to them after they dropped it. I'd probably shout out "Dude! You dropped your gun!" but I definitely wouldn't pick it up unless the guy didn't hear me and kept going.

Kind of hard to be scared the way the guy picked it up.

Track suits & naming their kids "Elvis," as pointed out by my Slovenian mother-in-law to my Croatian father-in-law.

Should have been shot considering how he was holding it when the cop grabbed it.

Who the fark hands someone a gun with the barrel pointed at yourself?

In a lot of cultures that is how you hand over swords and knives, but I am just betting that person didn't know any better.
