Looks like a fully-functioning HD monitor connected to an iPhone to me. I was waiting for people to launch apps from the big screen. Leaving disappointed!

No way.

Zombie Ed McMahon.

That looks pretty awesome, but how long can you wear that before you have destroyed your back?

People, it's just a farking phone. It's not the holy grail.

Yah rly. It's a great phone and all, but some people just have to take shiat to the next freakin' level.

I could see that lasting about ten seconds at the bar. Either by some jackass spilling a drink or me falling over drunk and breaking it.

If you're using an OLED screen, I imagine that you wouldn't have any weight issue. Although, imagine the cost to make. That said, can't tell if that's a LED or projection screen, though. I imagine no more than 50-60 pounds.

Speaking of OLED, just imagine the kinds of costumes you'll see when they make OLED sheets flexible enough to be worn like clothing. Best part is, if somebody shows up displaying the same thing, you just download a new one.

Saw this on Gizmodo the other day, I think it was some 42 inch LED TVs, so it's costly but if you're buying a TV anyways... well let's just say you'll be a pretty popular story by the end of the night.

Sure beats going as Rorshach or Balloon Boy though.

Wear 50 pounds hanging down your front from shoulder-height, pulling your back forward, for a day, and let us know how that works out for you.

I propose we make a "Trance Music" warning to go with the "Slideshow" warning.

I agree the iPhone is cool, but damn.

I would defy any Apple fanboi to look at this and tell me Apple is selling anything other than a lifestyle.

50 lbs is not that heavy. If you dont slouch like a mongoloid you will be fine.

As a guy with a bad back myself, that was my first thought! It's not too crazy heavy for a healthy guy maybe, but certainly awkward. Hope they designed the harness as well as they did the screen.

Second thought was, this is pretty damn cool, even if it's not fully a touch screen observers can use.

Certainly makes my own paper mache costume seem a whole lot more shabby, anyway!

I wish I could find that comic of the iPhone user who magically heals someone who is wounded and then flies away on a rainbow - or something like that. I should have saved it when I saw it last.

I swear it's how every iPhone user sees him/her self.

Fanbois sell themselves a lifestyle. I've been an Apple fan since I was young, but I've never been a turtleneck douchetard.

Those guys wouldn't last 3 rounds in bar. I doubt they left the house after the photo op. Either their screens or their faces would get destroyed within a hour.

hahahhahahah

Ok Dude, Thats pretty cool

Come on. that would be the hit of any house party, play music, watch a movie.... Suicide girls flip strip.

tacos813: 50 lbs is not that heavy. If you dont slouch like a mongoloid you will be fine.

Text at the bottom says 85 lbs. I ruptured a disc lifting less than that. Very cool concept, but they're risking destroying their back for life.

With a big ass video screen strapped on you, there are WAY cooler and certainly funnier things you could be displaying.

Wow... That's another level of iPhone douche. It's a great PDA, but that's it.

You're not cool because you have an iPhone, prick. 15 million other people have one too. Enjoy your phone and shut the fark up.

/iPhone owner.

It is not even a great PDA, merely decent Likwit, I'd love to be the one to push one of these douchebags down a flight of stairs, then I could make a smarmy comment like, "just use your Iphone to call 911"
