CLANG!!!!

AZtoJapan: Utley has been in consideration for MVPs but always managed to injure himself halfway through the season taking him out of the conversation.

Chicks dig the long ball. He only missed serious time with injury once, though last year he hurt his numbers playing hurt.

That was Feliz?! Didn't know he had it in him.

Wow from no hits this series to a triple, nice!

Right before that ball was hit..the camera they used that panned down from the 1st base side.. cool look

I noticed that too! Definitely a cool view.

And Ruiz is on freakin' fire.

A walk, then an extra-base hit. I'd be surprised if this didn't happen to Billingsley all the time.

jlawn001: Earguy: jlawn001: Hey guys, I was able to silence those awful TBS annoncers...

Very cool- I get the game sounds, but not the annoncers.

Go phils.

How're you doing that? Surround-sound setting? SAP?

Honestly bud, I'm not quite sure. I've got an Onkyo HD R520. I only have the front two channels hooked up (just moved). I switched it to Dolby D EX and... poof!

I even checked the game on NBC and NO FARKIN ANNOUNCERS!

Just played with my home theater...Announcers in center channel, which you don't have hooked up.

It is weird, I am actually expecting Ruiz to do something good now when he is at the plate. He is on a different level this postseason.

It gave a good look on that triple, puts it into a better perspective.

Yeah... that's what I was guessing. Nice surprise. Very nice to have that option.
At first I thought it was the whiskey.

At some point, they'll stop throwing him high fastballs.

He's the master of the 7 hop ground ball but if you give him something high, he's going to drive it.

On the bright side, I won't be staying up 'til 1:30AM watching an extra-innings game, since I have to work tomorrow.

Dr.Knockboots: UNAUTHORIZED FINGER: Just arrived. Did the Phillies fans boo the guy who got hit by the bat?

haha that does sound like something they'd do.

Yeah one time in 1972, when the Phillies were so terrible a fan fell from the 2nd deck. The fans booed when he got up and walked away. I gotta admire that.

I can't remember who the comedian was who said that when there was no game in Philly, the fans would go out to the airport to boo bad landings.

You DO realize that most of it is tongue-in-cheek right?
Okay, not all of it... but most f it is.

There are comedians that will not perform there because they get booed as soon as they start their set. But yes, the booing is a lot of joking..

I went to an Army-Navy game at the old Veterans Stadium in 1979. There was fighting, and farking, and beer flying everywhere. I hadn't had that much fun since the time I watched the hogs eat my baby sister.

With material like that, Lopez will be huge (rolls eyes)

The vet in the 70s in a MUCH different animal than what it is like now.

One one hand I think it's a shame that the corporate ticket has priced out the middle man. But on the other, there will never be another 700 level.

I think that's a very questionable claim. Helium Comedy Club has gotten some pretty reputable comedians over the past couple years.

Uecker, of course! Now I can see him saying it in my mind's eye. I remember him telling Johnny Carson that he missed the 1964? World Series because he had hepatitis. Carson asked him how he got it, and he replied "the team trainer injected him with it."

You say that there won't be another 700 level like it's a good thing. I grew up there as a tyke, and it was awesome!

That was a good pitch. Quit crying, Loney.

I went to a late season, no-chance-for-playoffs Eagles game vs Washington. There was a smokin' hot girl there wearing a really cute outfit of tight jeans and a tight, modified Redskins jersey, cut to show lots of cleavage. I thought there'd be no way the Eagles fans would give her a hard time because she was so damn pretty.

Wrong. They booed her and doused her with beer.

At the same game, one of the former Eagles had been traded to the 'Skins. When he made a play against the Eagles, some fans found a guy wearing the player's old Eagles jersey. Ripped it right off his back and threw it down the bleachers.

Ask Opie and Anthony and their traveling virus comedians. They booed Dom Irera..who is a made comedian.

I must confirm that the 700 rules for both baseball and football. I got to see the Eagles clinch the NFC East up there and it was awesome.
