kidddynamite: vegaswench: kidddynamite: LMFAO @ the dumb Dodgers fans... Turnpike series is on.

I still have faith. Stupid or not.

Well hello fellow Vegas resident.

Hi back, Vegas guy.

LOL at the one loudmouth randomly shouting BOOOOOOOOO!

2009-10-18 08:45:53 PM
I notice that after last night's call in the Yankees-Angels game, that the second basemen are definitely NOT straddling the bag.

2009-10-18 08:46:26 PM
Damn, missed the first inning an a Half, but was right in time for a double play.

thegod082: Larry Andersen, on the Phils' broadcast, just said "fisted." It's spreading like a virus.

to be fair, its not that uncommon of a term among baseball broadcasters

its just that Chip Caray uses it with such.. zeal

Maybe this is one of those things that you never notice until someone points it out and then you notice it everywhere. Looking at you arrow in the FedEx logo.

4-0 lead against Lee... insurmountable? Hopefully we can just be patient at the plate and wear him down, get to their bullpen and do some damage.

Don't forget, and we're so juvenile.

Nicely done.

that play had lulz potential

Kuroda is history. I am surprised he returned after that first inning- he is spooked.

2009-10-18 08:51:24 PM
Passed ball in the bullpen. Foreshadowing?

2009-10-18 08:51:41 PM
That wasn't the greatest warm-up pitch they showed out of the bullpen

2009-10-18 08:53:33 PM
c'mon Torre.. your kid's got nothin'
Girardi woulda been on his 5th pitcher by now

go get 'em, joe.

2009-10-18 08:54:49 PM
It would be so great if the Phillies can tack on about 5 more, so I can stop watching this game and do some actual work.

/Even with a 10-run lead, I'd still probably have to watch in suspense if Brad Lidge were brought on

2009-10-18 08:54:53 PM
As much as I would like to have seen Yankees/Dodgers, a turnpike series would be nice too.

Wow, the wheels are coming off for LA.

I hope they come back just to make the game entertaining. I loved that Yankees game last night.

as of this morning, Baseball Prospectus (new window) still thinks it'll be Dodgers-Yankees

Kuroda

2009-10-18 09:00:07 PM
Judging by only the first batter, this pitcher doesn't appear to be much of an upgrade.

2009-10-18 09:01:33 PM
Kuroda coulda done that...
*I* coulda done that

2009-10-18 09:01:42 PM
Awesome, took away the double play. Howard gets to bat this inning.

2009-10-18 09:01:47 PM
See how the visitor's bullpen is open, and people can hang on the rail and heckle?

I'm expecting something bad to happen someday, and they'll put a tarp up or something.

2009-10-18 09:03:28 PM
I have a feeling something very good is going to happen for the Phillies now.

2009-10-18 09:03:36 PM
Bases juiced for Howard. Time to unleash the dragon.

... or not. But another run, that's fine.

Not what I was expecting, but that works.

swinging bunt RBI
not the most exciting of outcomes

We'll call that a sacrifice bunt...

How deep is the pitching bench for LA? Torre is up to more pitchers than innings played.

I'm sure he meant to do that. It was a strategy.

First time I've cheered for a foul ball in a while.

Werth looks tall as hell, btu then i saw the ump stand straight up and he seems taller.. or i'm watching this movie in old kung fu aspect.

At some point soon you have to throw someone out there to take one for the team and eat a bunch of innings. Save the other arms for tomorrow

Now Billingsly gets to prove why he should've started this one

Torre is all about winning the game their playing and not worrying about tomorrow. It's what got the Yankees as far as it did in 2007. He won't go to that strategy until things *really* get out of hand.

2009-10-18 09:16:44 PM
Dodgers found one way to take the crowd out of the game, give the Phils a comfortable. Lee has an 0-2 count and nothing from the crowd. Just polite applause on all the plays.
