He shot himself in the eye. At 75 years old. So he looked into the barrel of a gun and pulled the trigger. That's pretty hardcore.

I'd have been surprised someone's Halloween display looked so realistic.

When I was 10, I used to set up a display at my house that included a dummy hung from my basketball goal. It was sort of a makeshift noose (at 10 I couldn't tie a real one).

These days, that would get me put in jail. Just imagine the uproar if this guy had hung himself. All that angst over the display and nobody to prosecute.

I think he means someone killing themselves in a publicly visible location and no one noticing because they think it's a Halloween display. The ones I recall involved hangings, so this one is a new twist.

I just googled the address, this guy was 1.4 miles from my place, I drive Via Marina every day when I go to work and grocery shopping on the weekends.
