They screw themselves over. A scary number of detroiters will tell you if you aren't both black AND a resident of detroit you have no right to even speak out against kwami. I've seen blips on the news where people in the school administration blame white teachers from outside of detroit for the poor quality of the schools. The scum of that city has risen to the top, and they do whatever they can to squeeze money from the bottom and push away anyone trying to do good.

I am against this if it ends up being as lame as the Museum of the American Indian. Man, is that ever a terrible museum. So where exactly is this going to be? I am looking at a map and those empty 3 acres in DC on the mall are pretty tough to find.

/got nothing else, just wanted to bash that crappy museum.
//hopes this one will be better. Would take a hell of a lot of work to be worse. Even that modern art crap is better.

Vampire_Blues: Not so much, if it's anything like the African-American Museum in Evansville IN. Celebrations of arts, science, medical breakthroughs, etc. Lots of achievers most of us haven't heard of. There's a lot to be proud of under that roof.

I covered its grand opening back in ye old days (and by that I mean 3 years ago *lol*) when I was a student journalist, and it's pretty awesome. Especially if you're a Firefly fan. Fairly huge section dedicated to Ron Glass.
