the only reason i think it's a big deal is because who gives a shiat about students being encouraged to honor their president.

Anyone showing even the slightest amount of respect for President Obama will be prosecuted to the full extent of the lynch mob, up to and including being hung by the neck from a tree and erecting and torching crosses on your front lawn. We cannot allow that uppity so-and-so to think for one second he can introduce any legislation.

I am all for encouraging the mouth breathers to form into easily recognizable groups.

This will make their internment in the upcoming liberal gulags that much easier. After they've been forced to deep-throat a marxist cock, of course.

Does it have to be Marxist? I'm more of an Engelsist, and I really enjoy blow jobs.

About 70 protesters stood on a sidewalk across the street from the B. Bernice Young School waving flags and homemade placards, singing "God Bless America" and "The Battle Hymn of the Republic," and chanting slogans such as "No indoctrination" and "Free children, free minds."

"hey everybody, let's sing patriotic propaganda songs to protest children singing patriotic propaganda songs!"

does that include sex education and condom use or exclude it?

It depends on what kind of beard you prefer- the messy, disorganized, full-bodied beard of Marx or the more groomed but still long and magnificent beard of Engles.

Obviously the Engels beard. But I don't know if that tells me whether I'm getting a BJ or not.

This. People going bankrupt and/or dying because they don't have adequate health care coverage is fine and dandy, but they turn out to protest this shiat.

Funny thing about the sign reading "I don't accept fundamental tenets of science and I vote."

i admit that i haven't been down south in a bit, but i don't remember them already having liberal brown shirt death squads roaming the countryside killing (white) unborn babies and the elderly.

So...they're protesting at a school on a day that the school is not in session.

Fail?

2009-10-12 02:53:19 PM
Jim and Gina Pronchick, who were among the few protesters who have children in the school, said they were upset that their son was in the video without their permission - and that school officials hadn't fully explained the context of the song.
...
The lyrics were sent home to parents in advance, the board said.

I guess Jim and Gina were too busy awaiting orders from Beck, Malkin, Hannity, Limbaugh, Coulter, etc. to pay much attention to what their kid brings home from school.

But, yeah, it's teh LIBZ fault!!

Why would it be a fail? They still get attention, and they don't disrupt the kids' school day.

Below, find the death panel that will evaluate if you qualify for Right to Life™. Those found deficient in certain beliefs will be marked as being undeserving of basic human decency and refer your case to the full wingnut public who may or may not act on their assessment. It takes one vote to pass a resolution revoking that right, but it is an unfunded mandate and individual agencies would be responsible for enforcing the edict. You will are eligible to be evaluated any time you state, suggest, imply, or encourage support for Obama, no matter how dated, OBE, or unrelated that support may, in fact, be. However, you are completely covered and will not be billed for the service, nor does the service impact your deductible or annual/lifetime coverage limits.

Too bad the kids weren't off school for the day or they might have had a chance to protest along with their parents and learn the proper message for a usurper in office like Obama.

Just as long as someone remembered to set the VCR to tape Fox News for the day if nobody was going to be at home.

The song was performed in February during an assembly that celebrated a number of occasions, from Black History Month to Dental Health Month, the township Board of Education said in a statement Monday.

"Why is there no Osteological Health Month?!!?!?!1!"

Barack Hussein Obama George W. Bush
He said that all must lend a hand [?]
To make this country strong again
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama George W. Bush
He said we must be clear today
Equal work means equal pay
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama George W. Bush
He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama George W. Bush
He said Red, Yellow, Black or White
All are equal in his sight
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama George W. Bush
Yes

Don't get me wrong, I voted for Obama, mostly because the Republican's social policies were gross, but the fawning idolatry of him is absurd.

I was in Kenya this summer and I felt like I was in some third world dictatorship where Obama was ruling. His face was everywhere and everyone assumed that, now that he was president, everything would magically get better.

Having schoolchildren sing hymns to a political leader is creepy no matter which side they're singing to

Protesters brought some different songs Monday to an elementary school where students sang in praise of President Barack Obama, bringing criticism from conservative commentators who said children were being indoctrinated.

Wasn't there a documentary a couple/few years back that followed some young kids as they went around to various/sundry neo-christian fundie rallys? I can't recall the name, but I do remember fundie christian preachers encouraging the kids to worship cardboard cutouts of George Bush.

Now would be a good time to find a link to that video. hrm. well...after I get off work I'll go looking.

Lighten up and deal with it.

When I went to Australia the first time, everybody kept asking me how I felt about Australia winning the America's Cup yacht race for the first time. I could have cared less. But, I said it was cool and happy to hear the Aussies kicked some rich Americans in the jewels.

Good point. I wonder how many Southern Baptist and similar churches are offering prayers to the current President to invoke God's blessing on him in working two wars, massive recession, teabaggers at everybody's doorstep, etc.

Here's another thing I find downright bizzare - Republican claims of 'Obama worship'. Think about it for a moment. This is coming from the same group of people who saw nothing wrong with one of O'Reilly's followers going out and shooting an abortion doctor based on something that O'Reilly said on air. They literally kill for their hero, and they think Obama supporters are creepy fanatics. And i'm not even gonna start on the Palin voters.

I don't get that. I really don't.

I wish I could remember the name of that documentary. It was pretty creepy listening to a bunch of teenagers talk about their commitment to God, country and George Bush. They didn't even know what the hell they were talking about either and you could see it in their eyes. They revered Bush almost as a religious figure too.

Funny how Fox News or Glenn Beck didn't object vociferously to that, but when it's Obama, it's ZOMG, INDOCTRINATION!

that's not the worst part. The worst part is knowing that the people who preach to those kids about their duty to be 'soliders for Christ' think that kids singing a song about Obama are too over the top with the kiddie indoctination.
