I spoke to Peter after this interview and he said he felt good about it and was looking forward to writing his next column.

Especially after being warned about it the previous year and coming back the first game of the year against the Jets and being found to be videotaping the other sidelines,

The Wall Street Journal: What story did you most enjoy doing?

Mr. King: Probably spending a week inside the Green Bay Packers in 1995.

Wow. I knew he loved Brett Favre, but I didn't know he loved Brett Favre.

Mr. Slippyfist: I spoke to Peter after this interview and he said he felt good about it and was looking forward to writing his next column.

Interesting if true.

Wait, I take it back. That's not even interesting.

Does Tom Brady know that he's being cheated on?

That was my Peter King impression, I hope you enjoyed it.

Any time he talks about a player it starts with, "I spoke with _______ after the game...".

I think they have an open relationship. Brett can have supermodels and Peter can hump his mochalattegrandochino...

I've been to Peter King's place. He has a signed glamour shot of Favre on the nightstand with a piece of tape holding the photo together where it had been torn. What's up with that?
"That's from when he BROKE my heart."
Weird.

The Wall Street Journal: What story did you most enjoy doing?

Mr. King: Probably spending a week inside the Green Bay Packers Brett Farve in 1995.

This guy is a dipshiat for asking Belichick why he had a copy of "The Art of War", and what he could have possibly learned from it.

I don't mind Peter King. I mean sure, he goes overboard on the man crushes sometimes. And the apple-pie attitude gets a little cringe worthy once in a while. And no, I really don't care about the coffee. That said, I think he calls them like he sees them, he has incredible access, and I think he works hard at what he does. I like that he admits being wrong - frequently - and I like it that he doles out harsh criticism even to his favorites (Favre/Bellicheck) when they deserve it. And it's cool to finally hear someone admit that 'yeah, I work hard, and money is made off my work, but in actuality there are plenty of other people who could do what I do and just as much money would be made - I'm fortunate'. The fact is, he ain't paid to be correct all the time - he's paid to be interesting and generate page hits and discussion. He seems to do a good jorb of both. Nobody makes us read him. Fact is you wouldn't be here if you didn't. I know, go ahead and tell us how you used to read him, but don't anymore because of the _____________ situation in which you were correct and he was wrong - that's fascinating stuff and we'd love to hear it.

I always thought when you interview the interviewer it's like jumping the shark.

I read Peter King, but I gotta say, I don't really enjoy reading him, as much as I want to think I enjoy reading him.

At the end of the week, Frank Winters found his tires slashed.

I'm glad that Stewart Mandel finally has a Monday column, allowing me to get my football fix and completely ignore Peter King's column.

I watched an interview Gruden had with Farve last night, and swear to god one of the early questions was something like "Two minute drill. Is there like some switch where you flip on the gunslinger?"

I spoke with Jay Z after the last interruption. He said he was feeling good about letting you finish, but next weeks game will be one of the biggest of all time.

Of all time.

FTA--He can do Billy Bob Thornton from "Sling Blade" so that you would have absolutely no idea it wasn't him.

That may very well be the coolest thing I have ever learned about Brett Favre.

Learning that Brett Favre can do a Sling Blade impression is about as surprising as learning Anna Nicole Smith used to shop at Wal-mart at 4 AM or that Snoop Dogg eats at Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles. Call me when he does John Malkovich or something.

Peter King is ridiculous.

The cool thing is not that he does the impression. Any jackass can do it. It's that he does it well.

Gruden has been awful this year, but he and Jaws were especially bad tonight. I thought they were bad in the opener in their Brady-love, they were much worse tonight.
