If anyone ever asks you if you want to sell your power tools, lock them up, because they will come back to steal them soon.

If someone had pawned his power tools to me 59 times already, I wouldn't think twice before assuming they were his

Always put your initials on the product in a hard to spot location (so they don't see it and remove it" and keep track of the serial number and all that stuff as well.

hmmm, for me, it takes at least 62 transactions of similar items to become suspicious.

but seriously, after the same guy brought in a fifth air ratchet or something, I'd be asking around. No one has that many powertools that they need to get rid of on that regular of a basis.

'course, they could've been going to different shops to sell them, to cover thier tracks, but the reciepts all end up at the same po po station eventually.

Now's they's gonna gets powertooled in the prisons!

They don't check around here. That's why all these new contracting companies can afford to start up all the time...

I now just threaten them with said power tools and they don't come back.

here in Colorado, the pawn shops take your pic and require you to sign a form stating it's your legal property and the only way to get it back (if one is ever so lucky as to come up with the money to get stuff out of hock) is to go in, show id which is then compared to the pic. Pretty good security measures. No fingerprinting here, tho.

/had to pawn a bunch of stuff last week to buy a hot water heater
//does not recommend the pawn shop experience to anyone
///glad this guy got popped
