I Am The Egg Matt Drudge Smears Upon His Body: "usual with such arrests"? What is that supposed to mean?

It means in most DUI arrests the articles leave out what caused the person to get pulled over in the first place, you farking jackass. How about you go be rude somewhere else?

Getting DUI's in the middle of the afternoon is so low class. She should get them in the middle of the night like a respectable drunk.

Someone let her out of the cellar.

skinink: I didn't know that Susan Sarandon had a daughter (Eva Amurri), but it seem like mother and daughter are both proud of their bodies. You can't do a search of her without coming across a picture that shows much cleavage. I wonder if she's any good in Californication.

I'd fark either.

Whitesnake - Here I Go Again (pops to YouTube)

The quality on that video looks like it started as a VHS capture, piped in to a capture card on a 486 DX/2 in 1995 as a 1.4MB .MPG file, transcoded to RealVideo, pooped on by Triumph, and uploaded to YouTube.

Toshiro Mifune's Letter Opener: Psykorgasm: Who?

If you don't remember her as the woman in the Whitesnake videos (dancing in/on the car in "Here I Go Again" or shuffling around in "Is This Love"), you might remember her as the horribly hammy actress that Jerry dated in an episode of Seinfeld (remember the surreal chess match scene?).

She's also notable for attacking her then-husband (pitcher Chuck Finley) with a shoe, resulting in the following mugshot:

Eh, just take her car keys and let her drink. As long as she doesn't kill someone on the road, chronic alcoholism is a problem that takes care of itself.

Antonio_Talibanderas: felixstrange: Actually, if you watched Celebrity Rehab, she was a very sweet, intelligent person who endured an incredibly messed up childhood.

She also has a daughter. Sad tag very appropriate.

Well, some people who um.. know her family beg to differ with her version of her "messed up" childhood.

Most of her problems and unhappiness are the direct result of her own reckless actions - she was always incredibly selfish and defiant. I listened to her "version" of her childhood with my jaw on the floor. No one else seems to remember it that way. I'll leave it at that.

Shelley the Underpaid/Overworked Rehab Tech's husband posts on TWoP's Celebrity Rehab thread and according to him (according to her) Tawny got a very kind edit. Apparently they left a lot of stuff on the cutting room floor.

On another related side note, "Former actress Tawny Kitaen" is showing us Megan Fox's future.

belowner: swahnhennessy: Er...how do you mean? She was arrested for DUI. Unless she was on her own private road, I don't see the distinction.

I meant cops can't pull people over just for the hell of it (usually - most cops will just make up a reason later if they are bored).

No one gets pulled over for drunk driving, they get pulled over for something else that leads to a drunk driving charge. Weaving, speeding, etc.

So I'm wondering what got her pulled over.

It was lack of reading comprehension skills.

square: why is it when you get old you get all frowny?

You'll find out, trust me.

I fight the frownies every single day, some days I win, other days, not so much. Life has a way of wearing on you after about 50 or so years of it.

Plus there's that whole gravity thing too.

Yeah, but they left in all of the lies she told about her family! I feel so bad for them. I guess they're used to it by now, though. Her entire narrative was a fabrication - and it came at the expense of some very kind, loving, supportive, patient people. ...But being an alcoholic junkie isn't cute unless you have an unfortunate life story to tell, so she had to come up with something that would generate sympathy. The truth is - she had a really normal upbringing. Her family loved and supported her. At a very early age, she started getting out of control - she was starved for attention and did whatever she could to be noticed. This lifestyle led to her drug and alcohol abuse. That's it. There was no horrible thing that happened. She was a partier and she took it too far. This "it's not my fault" crap is sooo old. I can't imagine what they left on the cutting room floor. It was either too over the top - or too true to fit the narrative.

Well, if you watched the previous season, Brigitte Nielsen was the momma bear of the group and apparently deservedly so, and it sounds like the producers were looking for another momma bear who looked out for everbody else for Tawny's season. Since she fit the bill as one of the older patients, that's how they edited her.

According to Shelly (via her husband), the producers really had their work cut out for them trying to make her look good.

Just watched Do It For the Band: The Women of the Sunset Strip on VH1 a little while ago. It's amazing any of the women who were hooked up with the bands made it out alive (apparently quite a few didn't). The booze and drugs were ungodly. Talk about "It's not the years, it's the mileage." Without these women, who may be remembered for the sexual aspects but were also feeding and housing the bands, a lot of guys would have been starving on the streets.

I'm not a fan of that show - I watched one episode that was particularly outrageous and was brought to my attention for that reason. I do understand that these shows are carefully constructed and character narratives are developed in order to create interest and drama, but it disappoints me when the editing removes all trace of reality from the participants. Another family friend received an unkind cut in the Real World, so I do know that a lot is sacrificed/divined to create interest. In Tawny's case, however, her narrative brought unnecessary shame and embarrassment to her family. Had I been editing that show, i would have exposed her for the unapologetic, narcissistic attention whore that she is - and it would have made for some great television. :)

Firebug Maybe we'll see her again in Season 3. Nothing can top when the dude from Crazytown started smoking rock on the roof of the rehab though.

And he's STILL better off than DJ AM

"Steve Burdette"? Huh...I knew a guy by that name referred by all as "Birdie" who was the go-to guy for Vespa speedometers. His own bikes were museum-quality restorations that only a recovering mod would attempt

Tawny Kitaen seemed to have a bright future in Bachelor Party. Life happened, or something like that.

Eva Amurri isn't only better looking - she has it together everywhere else. I wish her well.

Heh... I think she's been enabled long enough. A glimpse at the real Tawny would make for a pretty outrageous reality TV show. But for God's sake, hide her damn car keys.

Dr Drew will say whatever the Celebrity Rehab producers tell him to say. He sold his soul to them when he agreed to have Jeff Conaway and Icky Vicky come back.

Antonio_Talibanderas -- uh, yeah, we get the fact that you probably came on to her and she rejected you.

Bibliotech: I watched that show too. All I saw were aging, raging STD-carrying skanks. No, the trailer trash groupies didn't keep the 80s rocking; they kept the penicillin industry alive.
