Whew, managed to only see 4 of them.

2009-09-26 09:56:41 PM
Who would go see any of those? You can just tell they are going to suck right?

I know most people have horrible taste but come on, not one of those looked remotely interesting.

dbirchall: Whew, managed to only see 4 of them.

ONly one, Blood Ryane.

But hey, Larry the Cable guy got three in!

I've seen one and a half. Battlefield Earth being the one. I would watch it again just because it was so bad it was fun to watch. Nothing like 1000 year old jets running on 1000 year old jet fuel.

2009-09-26 10:30:36 PM
Took long enough to get this greenlit. I consider myself a movie guy, and I saw 0 of those. 0 for 100.

2009-09-26 10:36:33 PM
I've only seen one movie on this list -- Kaena. It wasn't a great movie. Visually pretty, a couple of interesting ideas, felt like they initially had something better in mind but ran out of time and budget to do it and so tossed out a poorly paced rough-cut edit after scrimping on the script to begin with. Overall, not the best of movies, but I was surprised to find it on this list, having watched it beginning to end and not felt the urge to gouge my occipital lobe out with a spoon.

Yeah, I saw that and Alone in the Dark strictly out of morbid curiousity.

I'm surprised The Room isn't on there. I haven't seen it yet, but I've heard it is mind-erasingly bad.

2009-09-26 11:02:10 PM
Pluto Nash is only 79?

And just how many time is Larry the Cable Guy on that list anyway?

2009-09-26 11:03:28 PM
I watched about half of Epic Movie, and I decided after about ten minutes that the director must have had HD footage of all the principal actors blowing goats or boning children, because that's the only way that you could force actors to film scenes that unpalatable and offensive. I mean, Carmen Electra isn't Mensa material, but even she would HAVE to have looked at that script and said "Durrrr, this looks sorta bad for my career".

2009-09-26 11:11:53 PM
I saw Glitter. Also saw about 20 minutes of Battlefield Earth, and could probably watch it again just for laughs.

Anytime anyone at work has an attitude problem, I tell them to go put some ice cubes on their titties.

Only 3 here, though I am hesitant to say which...

College, Good Luck Chuck, and Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li

Ha... the first movie I remember reading about on RottenTomatoes (Feardotcom) is still on that list. It was years ago, but it was this review header that stuck with me, and kept me going back to the site:

i97.photobucket.com

Laughter OL and all that.

2009-09-26 11:35:41 PM
Seen only one, The Whole 10 Yards. I didn't think the previews were that great, but I enjoyed the first and thought I would give it a shot. I was unamused.

2009-09-26 11:45:35 PM
I had to see Delta Farce once.

I think I would've rather passed a kidney stone the size of the Rock of Gibraltar.

Also, has Eddie Griffin ever done a movie worth a damn?

2009-09-26 11:56:38 PM
I'm proud to say that I've never had to see any of those movies, in whole at least. I saw the ends of 3.

/still want to see The Room
//I love laughing at the bad ones
///particularly psychotronic ones

i liked eck vs sever.

WorldCitizen: I've seen one and a half. Battlefield Earth being the one. I would watch it again just because it was so bad it was fun to watch. Nothing like 1000 year old jets running on 1000 year old jet fuel.

And not just any jet, frickin' Harriers. You have to know how to fly a jet and a VTOL to use them.

I'm proud to say that I saw about 45 min. of Battlefield Earth, and otherwise have not seen a single movie on that list.

2009-09-27 12:23:50 AM
I've only seen one of them, The Fog. Most of those movies I've never even heard of.

I was amused that the cavemen flew them out of Fort Hood, Texas which is home to the Army's 1st Cavalry Division and (at the time) 4th Infantry Division. I could understand mistaking the Marine Corps Harriers for Air Force or Navy jets, but why the fark would they be at an Army post?

2009-09-27 12:43:47 AM
List is worthless without many of the SYFY original movies.

2009-09-27 12:55:23 AM
old?

2009-09-27 03:30:37 AM
...two.

Alone in the dark (morbid curiosity and it looked halfway decent from the clips used in the Nightwish filmclip)

The Fog (channel surfing when bored)

Damn. Given my fondness for shiate movies, i woulda thought I'd score higher....

2009-09-27 03:51:31 AM
I'm going to say it. You're not going to believe me, but I'm going to say it anyway. "In the Name of the King" wasn't a bad movie. It was simply mediocre. It's on par with pretty much any "made for Sci-Fi Syfy" fantasy movie. It's not anywhere near "good," but it doesn't cause the intense head trauma of Boll's other movies.

mamoru: dbirchall: Whew, managed to only see 4 of them.

Actually 3 here too (maybe)... I don't know what I thought was the fourth one.
92. Babylon A.D.
33. Delta Farce
25. Meet the Spartans (I... think)

2009-09-27 04:09:42 AM
Wow, From Justin to Kelly didn't make the cut.

dahmers love zombie: I watched about half of Epic Movie, and I decided after about ten minutes that the director must have had HD footage of all the principal actors blowing goats or boning children

Seriously. They showed up on the list 4 times. Is anyone else responsible for more of these travesties?

2009-09-27 04:44:21 AM
When your movie is directed by a guy named Kaos, you know it's destined for the #1 spot.

2009-09-27 04:52:27 AM
Okay, I'll admit to having more than quite a few of them. I'm something of a bad movie ironman.

And no, I can't defend a single one of the movies I've seen. They've all earned their place here.

To be quite honest, I'm amazed that the top ten wasn't dominated by those _________ Movie movies.

WorldCitizen: I've seen one and a half. Battlefield Earth being the one. I would watch it again just because it was so bad it was fun to watch. Nothing like 1000 year old jets running on 1000 year old jet fuel.

LEVERAGE!!!

2009-09-27 04:54:14 AM
I'm surprised that "The Spirit" wasn't on that list. With lines like: "Smells like dental...and Nazis," how can it not be?

2009-09-27 04:58:31 AM
I've seen one film, The Master of Disguise. Admittedly I was only 13 at the time and I thought it was pretty funny.

2009-09-27 05:01:13 AM
I'm surprised that Legend of Chun Li didn't make it to the top 10. My heart went out to the actors. I knew they were trying their best, but the writing and direction was so horrible... I felt bad for the embarrassment they must have suffered for appearing in that cinematic abortion.

2009-09-27 05:01:58 AM
I'm shocked that Catwoman wasn't on here.

Dragonfly wasn't good by any means, but it was a marginally better movie than Catwoman.

www.worstpreviews.com

I was on a roadtrip, and saw this on a marquee for some shabby theater in the middle of nowhere, I wasn't even sure if the word "Delgo" was even referring to a movie or not, as nobody had ever heard of it.

It might have had something to do with Chris Klein's performance, easily one of the funniest in the history of cinema.

Too bad that his performance was unintentionally hilarious.

This list hates black people.

How did this not make the list?

2009-09-27 05:14:19 AM
Hmmm...

The Covenant, and about half of Pluto Nash before I realized that the movie was slowly draining my intelligence.

About a decade ago, my ex from back then would probably have caused me to reach something around 20 out of those, ranking high in the [Generic] Movie category, and shiatty romantic comedies.

2009-09-27 05:14:51 AM
I've seen too many of those.

I actually got talked into paying cash money to see Feardotcom. It was easily one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Actually, I could say the same thing about Darkness.

God, I'm actually angry I saw those movies.

2009-09-27 05:19:08 AM
Why does Larry the Cable Guy never actually play a Cable Guy? He's got three farking movies on this list, and he plays a National Guardsman, a Health Inspector, and a U.S. Marshall.

I've never seen a LTCG movie, and I hopefully never will, I was just wondering why he doesn't actually play a farking Cable Guy.

2009-09-27 05:20:14 AM
I...saw eight of those. They were all terrible.

/I need new friends

2009-09-27 05:21:21 AM
I've only seen 1 out of those 100.

2009-09-27 05:21:29 AM
kitryne: Actually, I could say the same thing about Darkness.

Amen to that.

That and Quarantine.

Going from #100 to #1, here are the ones I have seen. I must preface this by stating that I LOVE bad movies, just not horrible ones:

#94 - The New Guy. Eliza Dushku as a hot cheerleader. With that wonderful gif of her dancing in a bikini that people like using coming from this movie, you have to give it something.

#77 - Date Movie. Horrible, horrible movie. Ex-girlfriend of mine thought all of those past Scary Movie 2 were hilarious so I was forced to watch them.

#75 - Son of the Mask. Again, Ex-girlfriend is to blame.

#73 - Gigli. So bad I had to see how bad. REALLY BAD. Why does Affleck always get the role of the guy trying to turn the lesbian, doing it, then failing in the end?

#67 - The Hottie & The Nottie. - Wife to be made me sit through most of this until I convinced her that I would have to seriously rethink marriage plans if we kept watching it. She had a morbid curiosity about it, which I wasn't ready to partake in. She doesn't really have that bad of taste in movies, but even I couldn't get through this one.

#64 - Corky Romano. Annoying movie. Why anyone thought this was a good idea is beyond me.

#62 - Serving Sara. I had to see it to see Bruce Campbell in it. Not even his Chin of Doom could save this movie.

#48 - Bloodrayne. I know better than to watch Uwe Boll movies, but the curiosity got the better of me again. Ben Kingsley, Michael Madsen, and Meat Loaf could not even begin to save this film.

#43 - Darkness. Not as bad a film as others make it out to be, but the ending does leave much to be desired, and some of the lead up just goes nowhere.

#30 - Fear Dot Com. Yeah, I watched it. Yeah, I wish I hadn't. No, the nightmares have not stopped.

#28 - Rollerball. I thought I would check out a remake of an okay classic movie. I now think I must have been high.

#27 - Battlefield Earth. The only way I am ever going to sit through this pile of shiat again is with RiffTrax.

#21 - Epic Movie. Another of those Ex-girlfriend movies. This one did produce a few laughs here or there, but not enough for a second viewing.

#18 - Master of Disguise. You actually have to like Dana Carvey to like this movie. Can't take it too serious either, as it is just a bunch of his comic bits and impersonations strung together with a loose narrative.

So 14 out of 100. Not too bad, really. Kind of surprised that Poultrygeist isn't on there, another movie I had to shut off not even half way through. Troma, what the fark happened to you?

2009-09-27 05:27:27 AM
The article is more accurately entitled "The 100 worst movies produced during the last decade that actually were projected at least once onto at least one screen inside of at least one theater somewhere on the globe during the last decade."

Believe me, I could (but won't) easily list 100 straight-to-video wonders off of the top of my head that manage to make all of the article's choices appear to be paragons of cinematic exquisiteness in comparison (yes, even "Battlefield Earth"). I even purchased a copy of a few of them.

Two closing words: "Vegetarian Zombies".

2009-09-27 05:35:44 AM
This list is sorely lacking in Rob Schneider movies.

2009-09-27 05:36:28 AM
muck4doo: List is worthless without many of the SYFY original movies.

You take that back!

Though actually, the last decade doesn't seem to have been truly terrible movie wise, especially when compared to the decade before.(Bio-dome. Blame it on the Bellboy...)

2009-09-27 05:38:13 AM
Four.

34. The Haunting of Molly Hartley
70. New Best Friend
92. Babylon A.D.
95. Lost Souls

34 meh. At least it didn't have a stupid happy ending.

92 meh. I was hoping for a lot better, but I can't say I didn't enjoy it.

95. I watched it years ago. I don't remember if it was good or bad. I don't remember thinking it sucked, but then 10 years ago I had even less taste than I do now.

I really like New Best Friend. I enjoyed the fact that I had to watch it a second time so I could 'get' the random stuff that made sense once you knew the ending.

2009-09-27 05:42:35 AM
spidermann: Corky Romano

There's a gold section in Kevin (Tom Servo) Murphy's book, A Year at the Movies, in which Murphy and Mike Nelson go to see Corky Romano... and are horrified at what they find.

Speaking of Murphy and Nelson...

#27 - Battlefield Earth. The only way I am ever going to sit through this pile of shiat again is with RiffTrax.

It behooves the RiffTrax gang to take a look at this list and hack these movies to pieces.

On a morbidly curious note, I'd really like to see how they'd fare against the Friedberg/Seltzer ________ Movie abominations.

2009-09-27 05:52:04 AM
I've only seen parts of one of these movies, but I'm convinced that nothing on this list even approaches Manos-level insanity.

2009-09-27 05:53:06 AM
None. I saw none of those movies. And I see quite a lot of them.

2009-09-27 06:02:26 AM
I only saw one - The New Guy

Honestly isn't that bad

I've seen bits and pieces of some of the rest of them, like Corky Romano, but not of my own free will.
