Roook: DamnYankees: Just FYI is anyone is curious - the reason Terry O'Quinn wasn't nomianted is that after he won for season 3 (IIRC), he decided to stop submitting his name so other people would get a chance. He's a total class act. Otherwise he would have deserved it the most.

He's really the high point of every season. My favorite character on the show. Maybe one of my favorite characters on any show ever.

Well, different character now. :)

Otherwise it'd be like

"Yo Ben I'll let you talk in a minute but...

Terry O'Quinn was the best supporting actor all year!"

Did Jeremy Piven do the same thing?

I don't think so. Jeremy Piven is a famous asshole, and he had wom multiple times, so I highly doubt he would withdraw. I just think he wasn't nominated.

Why is Paul Newman in there? He's not a TV guy.

Michael Jackson? Huh?

2009-09-20 10:27:20 PM
wow this is amazing just the number and caliber of people that died this past year

2009-09-20 10:27:22 PM
No Billy Mays? I know he was just the ads (although had the show on Discovery at the end as well), but, still, a "TV Personality" to be sure.

More a cult of personality than a TV personality.

Yes, but that's the ugly back-alley side of TV.

Just because I'm thrilled with it, a reminder that Michael Emerson was supposed to be a guest star. He was only supposed to be in 3 episodes, and then never show up again. But he was so damn amazing as Henry Gale that the writers kept him on and just gave him the role of the leader of the Others, who was supposed to be someone else. Talk about a great move.

Tofino: I had no idea this was on until just now, and there is a quite-entertaining football game on. Thread's fun, though.

Its the Giants and Cowboys, so being entertaining is mathematically impossible. I'm sure one of the TBBT nerds can explain it to you.

He gets a pass for the SNL Chippendale scene alone.

Also, he had a tv series last year.

Michael Jackson had more than a few historic TV program appearances though.

Paul Newman did some TV movies I think, like HBO, etc. Was almost thinking he was on Twilight Zone, but, that was Redford.

Honestly don't know enough about Richardson to make a call there.
