bluetrain343: puffy999: Fat Bobcat: Well, if the alternative is the guys immediately before Brown, I'm happy to have him.

Texas could have a better head coach, and there are quite a few potential candidates. However, the question is whether or not they can recruit in the way Brown has recruited.

You also have to wonder who else they could find that would have such a great "Texas head coach" name. Mack Brown and Colt McCoy sound like characters in a football movie.

No, they sound like gay porn actors.

SOS figures heavily in the computer rankings, and with the coaches, and with anyone who know anything about college football.

The only people it doesn't matter to are Mt. West honks, whose teams play the 60th - 100th toughest schedules in the country..

So, how bout that Wyoming team?

Sorry Donnchadha, but hey, I root for the Pens...Pro teams make up for collegiate alliances?

And the Steelers, right? I'm not as big of a Pitt fan like the rest of my family, so I'll let it slide.

True, but I have hope hopes for Will Muschamp. He seems to have a good idea of what he is doing on the field, but I do wonder how he could keep the recruits rolling in like Brown did.

Well, of all of the big-time coaches (who have the kinds of players that can actually win championships, so that excludes the Sweatervest at tOSU), the only coach I'd trust less in a crucial game situation would be Bob Stoops.

/wow, ND is now the team who is getting pounded in their wide-open holes

It's not like it would be hard for ANY capable coach to recruit to a place like UT in a state like Texas. You gotta suck if you can't build a good team in Texas. Look at Oklahoma! They arte just a border state and they still pick up all the talent from Tejas. Mack has done a good job but I think there are a few coaches who can maintain that level. Texas shouldn't fire him unless he really screws up though.

Felt like Lloyd Carr was back in charge. Things would always work well and you'd never see them do it for the rest of the game. Baffling.

Forcier (sp?) listened. This proves 1 of 3 things...

1) UM is better than people think
2) ND is overated
3) Both teams are soft at defense.

I, personally am hoping for number 3.

A player stepping out of bounds is an iffy call?

That wasn't the call, that was the reversal of the call. Have a screencap of his foot out of bounds to show me?

You and the kid with white paint on his shoe sole are the only ones who still care about that. Get on with life, man, the second half is about to start.

Sorry, I thought I was directly addressing someone else's question. My bad.

wow dude...you're a real prissy little girl, aren't you?

No, he's just clearly the decision maker around here. Unless the anonymous people on fark prove an undeniable screencap (like I'd ever waste my farking time), there is just no way any call could be correct. At least not any against his team.

Uh, I'm not a ND fan, sorry.

Shank!

Looks familiar to the first drive of the first half.

2009-09-12 05:41:50 PM
Oh, no, Brown is there as long as he wants to be there. Texas won't be going away, I just don't think they're going to win "the big one" without someone who goes out and simply dominates everyone.

Of course, I don't know whether the opponent would be as piss poor and unprepared for the QB scramble as the Trojans were that day... the worst coaching job I've ever seen from Pete Carroll at USC.

WOW, HE MISSED THE FIELD GOAL! ULTIMATE FAIL, WOLVERINES!

No, but it was many years ago.

To give you some perspective on how long ago that took place, Oregon should've played for the national title in the previous season (and Nebraska DID play for it), you played Miami in the 2003 NC game, WASHINGTON STATE played in the Rose Bowl, and Iowa and Florida State were BCS Bowl teams.

You missed Michigan running down the field like ND did at times in the first half... until they got inside the 2 yard line, of course.

Let's see if they fail as much this time inside the 10... AND MICHIGAN FUMBLES, but recovers.
