Where the hell in the article does it mention ANYTHING about pepper spray?!?

Man...I was amazed at how many titles were just WRONG yesterday once I read the articles. Looks like we're starting Saturday off the same way.

Someone asleep at the wheel?

Nothing can really help the Clippers win.

2003-03-08 01:41:25 AM
Don't the Clippers stink enough without help from some idiots?

I'll pretend I did not read Skidnuts comments...

Maybe someone cut a really noxious, horrible fart.

"when an unknown substance caused the Celtics to bolt from their bench, unable to breathe."

Must have been chili cheesedog night.

I'm just going to start submitting articles with outright lies. That seems to be the only way to get them accepted.

For those of you whining about the headline, refer to skidnuts link to the SI.com site where they report it as pepper spray.

May your "god" help the clippers. They need all the help they can get. Anyway-the pistons pray for you, a little.

On second thought, Clippers in the house, noxious odor, choking, I mean, can't ANYONE connect the dots here?

hahaha

"police believe four men released a canister of pepper spray as a prank and then left the building"

Boy, was that title of this thread ever flat out wrong. I mean, there obviously was no pepper spray involved/no on thought pepper spray was used. /sarcasm

Asshat submitter makes assumption about Celtics bench-clearing incident, fails.

Dorks_

From which orifice did you pull that quote? It certainly isn't in the linked article. You know, the article which the headline is supposed to describe.

:) Just pointing out that there is a good chance it was pepper spray.

2003-03-08 02:54:52 AM
... pepper sprays you!

2003-03-08 03:04:08 AM
Fark the Clippers and Donald Sterling. They have no business in the NBA.

**from a SI.com article regarding the same topic**
Paul E. Johnson, the NBA security official assigned to Boston, said police believe four men released a canister of pepper spray as a prank and then left the building. "Immediately after they left, the complaints started," he said.

There was no odor, but players and fans reported problems with their throats and eyes. No one sought treatment at the FleetCenter's emergency medical station.

In that case, they should have submitted the damn SI article instead

2003-03-08 10:55:49 AM
Someone else probably had already submitted the SI link...just a guess.

Maybe, uhhmmm, the 'submitter,' could only link to the Globe article b/c the espn and cnnsi links were already submitted, but maybe 'he' had read the quote above, and you know, remembered that the security guy called it pepper spray.

Maybe 'he' was also drunk at the time, and got the sources mixed up.

"Noxious fumes apparently resulting from a prank with pepper spray disrupted the game between Boston and the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night and forced the Celtics to bolt from their bench, gagging and coughing."

From an updated ESPN article
