Whatever all the haters say, good luck to the guy. He seems as though he genuinely wants to makes amends for what he has done. It takes a big person to admit you have totally messed up and to try to change your lifestyle and help others during that time.

Take note of how often Vick did these 'public service' things before his arrest and after.

Obviously he's doing this stuff because he has to.

What a great role model for the kids. I wonder if OJ still does community service stuff like this?

From said event...

"Kids, getting a pair of gloves just big enough you can squeeze into with a lot effort yet small enough for people to think they could not be your gloves is the key to killing you filthy ex wife and her punk a** lover and not going to jail for it"

It does happen sometimes. People realize they have done something terribly wrong. Again, I'm not saying I know that is the case with him, but it sure is possible.

Really? That public chat implies that he was led astray by his peers - essentially, pushing part of the blame onto others.

"I was influenced by so many people when I should have been a leader, not a follower."

No one cares if you're a leader or a follower, Vick - torturing and killing dogs for fun & profit was just plain stupid, either way. You're a "cautionary tale" for anyone who thinks fame & money allow you to do anything, without consequences. Nothing more.

I love how self righteous the average person on fark is when it comes to discussing Mike Vick. Like any of you had to walk the road this man has walked. He came from a neighborhood that is comparable to baghdad when it comes to violence and where no one has money and have to eat spam yet he worked hard and became a success. He's slipped up and yet people are taken so much joy in this man's loss.

There are thousands of people on fark and I have yet to hear anyone admit to dog fighting. Even as a spectator. People do it, just like smoking weed. It's a crime and you should be punished, but you should also get a second chance.

Played for the Dolphins for a year (getting splinters in his ass mainly), then he moved back home and is now a model citzen of the community petty thug, more or less.

Was this the Republican response to the Obama speech?

"Sports" is where some adults go when they're tired of people like you in the "Politics" thread.

As a falcons fan, I really have no love for this guy anymore. However, seeing PETA members and their sympathizers wet their pants every time he goes to get the morning paper is so entertaining. It warms my heart to see them shake their fist in uncontrollable, impotent rage at the thought that someone they hate so much gets to go back to doing what they love, while making more money in a year than they will in their entire lives. Thanks you, Fark.com.

Michael Vick served his time, but he's on very thin ice. Very thin ice. Very very very thin ice.

Accepting responsibility after being sent to prison (not to mention that your million-dollar job requires you to accept responsibility) is not the same as being a "big person."

A "big person" doesn't torture and kill animals for fun.
