Not to mention "fun" and potentially "very lucrative" ways of ending up in prison.

I did NOT RTFA but if my life ever became so bad that the assured meals and a place to sleep of a prison became desireable, you can bet I'd at least try to rob a bank or something. If you get away with it, problem solved, if you get caught, problem solved.

"On Friday, Jiles pleaded guilty to manslaughter before Judge George Maxwell and received eight years of probation. He had previously been charged with second-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and firearm enhancement.

Prosecutors said a lack of credible witnesses led to the plea deal. The state opted to accept the plea to ensure that Jiles would be monitored, rather than risk an innocent verdict in trial.

If Jiles violates the terms of his probation, he will face 15 years in prison."

Umm... didn't he just break that probation?

Smart money is on that happening and soon. If you're in Brevard County, be careful.

Not neccessarily. He didn't try and get into prison to break someone out or anything, but tried to get in so that he would be in - you really think there is a law against incarceration?. If his parole doesn't specify he can't be in prison, he could claim he was trying to make the prison his residence. Becase really, what will they do to punish him - let him go? "Your Honor, I was on parole and tried to go back to prison" "And what crime did you commit to warrant going back to prison?" "I tried to scale the walls back into the prison" "Uhh, I sentence you to prison" "Yay!!!" "Hold on a minute" ...
