Oh my farking god, you have to step over cigarette butts? Do you also have to looks at bums, negroes, and spics on occasion? The humanity!

Smokers should pay an additional tax on tobacco products in order to pay for litter cleanup, given that about 50% (number pulled out of my ass) seem to habitually toss their spent butts out the windows of their cars. If you're caught doing that, you should be forced to go scour the road of them for a day.

Of the things that I have to "step over" that give me problems, including (but not limited to) used diapers, trucker bombs, vomit, and dog turds, I find that I rarely have to take a running leap over a cigarette butt.

No, the truth is littering of anything is rarely enforced and a lot of people (smoker, non-smoker and anti-smoker) feel they aren't obligated to dispose of their trash properly.

I've lived in Cedar Rapids a most of my life (getting kicks, etc.) and believe me, cigarette butts are the very least of the many issues with this town.

Maybe if they would first clean up the flooded areas from over a year ago. There are still houses that have piles of junk lying in their front yards from the floods last year. Seriously?
