I mean... really. There's, like, 0 basis for any of these ridiculous conspiracies circling around Obama. It's just insanity. Beck and anyone who believes him have become just as bad as Truthers, grasping at flimsy-to-nonexistent strands of evidence to help them arrive at their predetermined and baseless conclusion.

What the fark has Obama done that's so sinister?

Okay, spending, fine. But how does that make him a freaking clone of Hitler? How does that foment another American revolution?

Health care? It's what he ran on. And he was elected, may I remind you. And his solution is still far to the right than what's implemented in any other industrialized country.

I mean, really. This is craziness.

Here's my thing with Beck - he's vague. Watch all his conspiracy-laden cry-fests, and he's just vague. It's always about "them" and "they" and "those people". He never actually says what the hell he's talking about. I seriously don't even know what conspiracy he thinks is happening, since it all such empty fluff.

Seriously. This kind of hyperventilating hyperbole...

Taxes are a joke. Regardless of what a political candidate "promises," they will increase. More taxes are always the answer to government mismanagement. They mess up. We suffer. Taxes are reaching cataclysmic levels, with no slowdown in sight.

Is a Civil War Imminent? Do we have to shed blood to reform the current system? I hope it doesn't come to that. But it might.

It is a lie if we tell ourselves that the police can protect us everywhere at all times. Firearms restrictions are bad enough, but now a woman can't even carry Mace in her purse?

Go ahead, take everything I own; take my dignity. Feel good as you grow fat and rich at my expense; sucking my tax dollars and property.

The government is afraid of the guns people have because they have to have control of the people at all times. Once you take away the guns, you can do anything to the people. You give them an inch and they take a mile. I believe we are slowly turning into a socialist government. The government is continually growing bigger and more powerful, and the people need to prepare to defend themselves against government control.

Those who betray or subvert the Constitution are guilty of sedition and/or treason, are domestic enemies and should and will be punished accordingly.

It also stands to reason that anyone who sympathizes with the enemy or gives aid or comfort to said enemy is likewise guilty. I have sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and I will. And I will because not only did I swear to, but I believe in what it stands for in every bit of my heart, soul and being.
...is exactly what led us to this:

www.oklahomacitybombing.com

Every one of those blurbs I just posted is a Timothy McVeigh quote. And as time goes on, the stuff spewed by the Glenn Becks of the world is drifting closer and closer to what he believed.

And people are gobbling it up.

Hell, it's already started. Jim Adkisson had numerous books by popular right-wing pundits, and his 'manifesto' reads remarkably similar to what is coming out of Glenn Beck today. Thank God the death toll there was only 2. There are millions of Beck fans out there, and it'll take only one to do something far worse.

Obama is going to transform the USA into a freaking socialist nation. Period. He has created positions that are filled with radicals and called them Czars. He is a threat to the nation and his czars are all commie rads. Beck has legitimate questions . They are not vague at all. Who the hell are these people that are running this country? Look into what he's actually asking?

Pssst.

Calling him a IslamoFascist and building up these structures of false "logic" to pin a conspiracy on him is more politically correct than saying "Darkie". It's also easier to digest than facing the fact that your party screwed the pooch and admitting when our leadership and policies have led us into slow growth, made the nation less safe, and crippled the very agencies that have been supposed to protect us.

If the leadership had STFU after the election, and had instead examined what led to our defeat, we might have had a chance at taking back some of the political capital expended. Instead, the leadership just started throwing poop in the air and flailing wildly--and some suckers took the bait that it was "leadership."

I still think the leadership has no clue why we got our tails kicked in, and with the rank and file running after the most radical and loudest of voices, it looks like they're doing something. Nothing really useful, but they're doing something.

Deadwood_Pecker: and his czars are all commie rads

Let's see...

Richard Holbrooke, former Assistant Secretary of State and UN Ambassador...

Jeffrey Crowley, Senior Research Scholar at Georgetown University's Health Policy Institute and Senior Scholar at Georgetown's O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law...

Kenneth Feinberg, previously appointed by John Ashcroft as Special Master of the September 11 Victim Compensation Fund...

Gil Kerlikowske, former Justice Department official and Chief of the Seattle PD...

Joshua DuBois, praised by conservative and liberal religious groups...

Daniel Fried, career diplomat who's served under Republican and Democratic administrations, most recently as one of Bush's Assistant Secretaries of State...

Cass Sunstein, opposed mainly by liberal groups for not being too regulation-friendly...

Okay, I'm getting tired of doing this, but you get the drift. There are a couple controversial czars, but as usual most of their SCARY SCARY aspects are fictional.

It's an infuriating tactic. All you have to do is sow suspicion. You don't have to prove anything. The rest takes care of itself. It's like the phone game on steroids.

Noooo, you can't possibly compare the two.

I don't ever remember seeing Truthers carrying loaded firearms while protesting the government.

Truthers walk around with a laptop in their knapsack and wear t-shirts with domain names on them.

Truthers don't have advocates preaching to millions of people every week.

Actually, I picked Richard Holbrooke because he was first in this list. Then, I re-sorted by President who appointed him, and picked the next several who had wiki articles, skipping over Van Jones because he's the one everyone knows about -- the 'couple of controversial ones' I cited.

As for him being a convicted felon, the only places I find that assertion are right-wing forums with no evidence to back them up. I see that he had charges against him dropped.

He and John Holdren are the only two controversial ones that I know about. The Holdren thing seems to be a non-issue, and people who criticize Van Jones are looking at stuff he did in his 20s and has now backed away from.

Van Jones is an ex-Communist. Another noted ex-Communist is Marvin Olasky, an adviser to George W. Bush who helped craft his 'compassionate conservative' message and his 'faith based initiatives' agenda.

Pretty much the same with Eliot Abrams, John Poindexter and Otto Reich, who all served on the Bush Administration. How quickly they forget.

Not surprisingly, Sarah Palin has put herself in Glenn Beck's corner.

It's a crafty bid by the former Alaska governor to take advantage of the controversy surrounding Beck.

Would some kind wingnut please explain to a clueless mainstream MSM media kool-aid guzzler how in the fark Saint Sarah is being even remotely "crafty" in doing this?
