Oh hai guize...I HAS A KITTEH!!



I've been playing on FARK Caturdays for years, but haven't had one of my own for over 10 years until now. Got her last Caturday from my son's girlfriend, who took her in not knowing where she came from. She seems to be 10-12 weeks old or so, and is very sweet with a robust purr (didn't realize how much I missed that).

No name yet - hopefully something will come to me over the weekend.

YAY CATURDAY!

things I do to my cats...: FredaDeStilleto: Two years ago, my 19 year-old cat lost the ability to walk for any distance. I moved her bed, litter box, and feeding bowls very close together. Last year, she was unable to get out of her bed (although her appetite was very good and she was very alert to what was going-on in the house).
Three months ago, near her 21st birthday, she just got out of bed, jumped on my leather chair and has been moving around the house like she's a new cat.
Go figure.

When Oreo was diagnosed with diabetes, he lost the ability to jump. The Vet said it was due to his age (20+) and loss of muscle function due to the diabetes. The vet tech told me about Cosequin, and begged me not to tell the Vet she recommended it as she would be in trouble. As far as I'm concerned, this is a wonder drug. Within a week, Oreo was running through the house, and although the kitchen counter was a bit much for him (but then again, it always had been, much to his displeasure...), all his favorite spots (including the bed and the couch) were never again a problem for him.

As things i do to my cats... said, it's basically a chondroitin glucosamine pill. I would recommend it to anyone who has a kitteh with mobility problems.
