Of course when something truly ironic appears, the ironic tag is nowhere to be found.

Big deal.

Always the hard hitting news with Fox eh?

Dunno, privacy violation, or moron who has no idea how to run a mailing list?
Usually inadvertantly doing something like this means less culpability, but then again, IANAL.

2003-03-05 10:37:34 AM
The ACLU used to be worthwhile when they pursued a liberterian agenda, now they are just shills for the DNC. Same tired message, evidently same idiots running the show. This just shows how far from relevent they have become.

Wibbly_Pig Doubtful. If this was merely a simple mistake by the ACLU, why would FoxNews even bother reporting it?

2003-03-05 10:39:29 AM
This just in to FoxNews....

Fox News Alert

Skunk found dead on side of highway. Terrorism suspected.

Now for a word with a dead skunk terrorist expert, Dr. Franks....

Well, look at the bright side, at least they didn't send out a million emails boasting that mortgage rates are at their lowest point ever, that they can increase your penis size by 50%, and that they can naturally increase your breast size.

2003-03-05 10:39:59 AM
You just know Fox News is sporting some serious wood over this one....

"To the extent that [ACLU leaders] are pointing fingers at private companies, they really are throwing stones at glass houses," said Jim Harper, editor of Privacilla.org"

I wonder if Fox News gets some sort of royalty from the Bush administration for every time they say terror, terrorism, or terrorist on the air. Or, every time the link any news story to possibly being related to terror, terrorism, or terrorists.

Oh...I said the "T" word 6 times in 2 sentences....I could work for Fox News.

2003-03-05 10:42:11 AM
Dear ACLU,
Get a life. Get a clue. Go fark yourself.
Thank You.

2003-03-05 10:42:27 AM
I liked the ACLU a lot more when they protected everyone's civil liberties.

Since they decided to protect the rights of only people on the left half of the poiitical spectrum, I've lost all - and I mean all - respect for them.

BBBBBBBWWWWWWAAAAAAAHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! Self righteous pricks deserve every slap they get.

I thought the ACLU was the American Christian League or something. I'm really not sure why.

2003-03-05 10:46:40 AM
LawTalkingGuy because the ACLU is quiite liberal and Fox News loves to blow stupid shiat like this up, I mean 860 adresses? Please.

2003-03-05 10:46:42 AM
You're right, EmoChild, it shouldn't be a big deal. But if another organization did this repeatedly the ACLU would be bustin' heads and taking names.

From : The offices of the ACLU

To:Bill O'Reilly, President Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, John Ashcroft, Ann Coulter ...

What else would you expect from an organization
that promotes rape, murder, child killing...etc.

...all of which liberals fantasize about.

...yea, come on, flame me.

Since when was the KKK part of the "left half" of the political spectrum?

2003-03-05 10:50:52 AM
Someone would have to sue them though, I am guessing they aren't gonna sue themselves. Is fox gonna sue them? China Grove is a sadist!

Hey cheerful slut, do you have a husband named frank?

2003-03-05 10:53:13 AM
Wibbly So you're saying that FoxNews is not a bastion of credible, impartial journalism?

That's just silly.

(kidding, of course)

Decaf333 & The_cheerful_slut

Why did the ACLU join with Jerry Falwell in a lawsuit designed to allow him to incorporate his church?

Did Falwell suddenly become part of the "left?" Did the DNC order that the good reverend be defended? Or, are both of you talking out of your asses?

2003-03-05 11:00:46 AM
Can we say oops?

2003-03-05 11:01:15 AM
So the ACLU is hypocritical. What's new about that? Maybe someone with the list will sign everyone up for free penis-enlargement spam. If that would prompt the ACLU to spend some time fighting spammers, maybe they'd do some good for once. With their track record, they are sure to blame all this on the Pledge of Allegiance.

Urrr ... hey! shouldn't that be "dead terrorist skunk", as in "a skunk, who is a terrorist, and also dead", rather than what you put, which is more a sort of "terrorist operating with, or terrorising, dead skunks"?

:)

Eraser8: did you actually refer to Jerry "God Hates Fags" Falwell as "the good reverend"?

The worst part about Fox is how they say "We report, you decide" or "no spin zone" every 2 minutes, and at the same time every announcer is giving an op-ed piece. Of course their target audience are morons that think that if they say it, it must be true.

2003-03-05 11:07:49 AM
Although I guess that in some parts of the US being on an ACLU mailing list is more of a social stigma than requiring medication for a mental illness, I doubt this will do much harm at all. And I can't believe the anger that most Americans have to the ACLU. Unless you're filthy rich, aren't you afraid to live in your own country? Doing some research into the justice system alone there is enough to scare the bejeezus out of someone who makes less than $200,000 a year. Nevermind what the first step of the governments "War against Terrah" will come to represent in the next decade.

Eraser8 writes: Since when was the KKK part of the "left half" of the political spectrum?

Well, let's see...the KKK doesn't like black people and liberals don't like black people. After all, liberals lock black kids in substandard schools, liberals demand affirmative action and quotas because they don't believe black people can compete on a level playing field, liberals never defend black candidates running for high political office. (Liberals want black votes but not black leaders.)

The KKK doesn't like Jews and liberals don't like Jews. Look at the Congress: most of the Democrats -including Hillary - take the Palestinians side and most of the Republicans take Israel's side.

The KKK doesn't like Catholics and liberals don't like Catholics. Abortion, anyone?
