Margaret, please call the editor of the New York Times crossword New York Post and tell him that Khaddafi is spelled with an H and two D's and isn't a seven-letter word for anything.

/Probably not obscure
//Did not order an preemptive Exocet missile strike against his air force

You know, it's a terrible idea to let him camp in your neighborhood. He'll probably blow up the whole block before he leaves. Also, he'll convert your wimmins to burky-wearers.

Burn him out, I say.

I had a friend loan me that show and I've burned through the whole thing over the last couple of weeks, so I'm getting a kick...

Also, he really isn't a terrorist anymore since he gave up a few years back.

Neighbors are none too pleased that the terrorist-coddling dictator will land among them

Come on now, how many people can they've even SEEN a terrorist-coddling dictator? Especially one that doesn't even have a penchant for waterboarding.

It'll be an educational experience.

No lawn at the Holiday Inn

I'd be tempted to invite 'ol Moammar over for a cookout. Then I'd ask him about his groovy Bert Convy-like hair. Oh, how we'd laugh and laugh...

He can stay with me, I got a spare room. But its only big enough for one, so his harem will have to sleep in my bed.

Yet one more present left by the chimp-in-chief.

"WASHINGTON - The Bush administration said Monday it will restore normal diplomatic relations with Libya for the first time in over a quarter century after deciding to remove Moammar Gadhafi's country from a list of state sponsors of terrorism."

"Khadafy, who habitually travels with a large air-conditioned tent wherever he goes..."

He's keeping it real.

Is this for that TV show There Goes the Neighborhood?

He will fit right in with the Guidos.
Nothing to see here.

2009-08-23 02:35:04 PM
To be fair, he's largely a reformed terrorist. He's been helping the US in the war on terror for the past few years.

2009-08-23 02:35:34 PM
OMG! 9/11! He's going to blow up a school! Keep the kids away from that place!

/who cares?

2009-08-23 02:35:49 PM
It would be unfortunate if something were to "happen" to him while here. But I am sure the US would gladly jail anyone responsible for a few years before letting him go to a hero's celebration...

Apparently they don't get Sopranos reruns in Libia.

/Terrorism supporter within 30 mins of the NYC. This can only end well.

He's responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Americans. I care.

Is he coming with his son? Then the neighborhood is doomed. Ask the Swiss.

2009-08-23 02:37:49 PM
Gotta love the comments. "He must have ulterior motives." Despite doing it before. "Why would we harbor this person?" probably to uh idk achieve some sort of peace I guess? You can't have a UNITED NATIONS if you don't let one of the people in it participate.

Is he related to that guy named 'Gaddafi'?

JonnyBGoode: To be fair, he's largely a reformed terrorist. He's been helping the US in the war on terror for the past few years.

And we have to remember this is New Jersey so many of the neighbors are already involved in illegitimate business and can be bribed into letting him stay.

Great Scott!

/came for the future

I'd be hitting on his bodyguards.

Not to threadjack but FTA: Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, author of such books as "Kosher Sex" and a one-time spiritual adviser to Michael Jackson, lives right next door.

Yeah, wrap your head around that one.

2009-08-23 02:41:01 PM
Well, it's Jersey... it'd almost be kind of an improvement.

The politicians alone make that state uninhabitable.

What's up with the tent? I think if we are letting him in, he should have to buy some campers from Elkhart Indiana and stimulate the US economy and ditch the tent.

2009-08-23 02:42:28 PM
Here's hoping someone shoots up his tent.

Always thought Michael Jackson looked like him in the 80's. Oh well--he has the sexiest bodyguards of them all. Almost Tarantino-like in their styling.

FTFA:

"Why would a head of government come to this small community to live?" asked Dr. Peter Scaglione. "He must have an ulterior motive."

Hmm, I don't know, maybe because that's where his goddamn embassy is.

And then he welcomes one of the Lockerbie bombers back to Lybia with a great big hug (new window).

My favorite Ghaddafi quote:

I cannot recognise either the Palestinian state or the Israeli state. The Palestinians are idiots and the Israelis are idiots.

Hey Mr President, this wasn't the Big Tent politics I had in mind!

They're almost as hot as a French maid with Tourette's.

Goodfella: Is he related to that guy named 'Gaddafi'?

Should be. As well as guys named Kadafi, al-Gaddafi, al-Qadhafi, Qaddafi, and Al Gathafi, among others (^).

2009-08-23 02:50:19 PM
Oh God, someone is going to try to kill him.

Kumana Wanalaia: Here's hoping someone shoots up his tent.

If he can pay to have that thing air conditioned in the desert, I'm willing to bet that the fabric of the tent is something like Kevlar.

RevCarter: I cannot recognise either the Palestinian state or the Israeli state. The Palestinians are idiots and the Israelis are idiots.

That's exactly the kind of flip flopping spineless twaddle that I'd expect out of this guy.

This is bad news... for Khadafy.

/Khadaffi, Qaddafi, and Ka'Daphee too

I can think of no greater punishment than being forced to stay in Englewood, NJ.

Nah, everyone with a weapon is busy going full retard at town halls.

Wow. And I thought MY neighbors sucked.

He can't be a terrorist. He has a Nobel Peace Prize. They don't just hand those out willy-nilly.

I guess he doesn't know that Hugo Chavez came to the UN, and Ahmadinejad has been there every year since he was first in office.
