Considering the concerto form in the 'classical' sense, yes, I think the piano theme's (1:10) return (3:32) holds it all together purrfectly.

I hear what you did there.

Interesting composition. The prolonged scherzo really builds the expectations of the audiece.

Cat+Piano+hoomin playing said piano every day= catcerto. Nora the cat just wanted to point out her superiority.

This headline was just a day late.

No worse than some "modern" classical music I've heard.

2009-08-23 08:59:01 AM
Damned clever and certainly more entertaining than, say, minimalist music or some of the other modern genres.

neonstz: I prefer The Cat Concerto.

Here it is with the proper soundtrack (new window)

If it is an imitation of the internet meme, I'm not sure about clever.

Thank you for that.

Has anybody made a video where keyboard cat gets "played off" by concerto cat? that would be awesome.

It's rather different. Rather then being controlled, this cat is actually playing the piano on it's own.

Besides, not creative work in the history of mankind is really completely original. But this comes close. Taking a cat playing piano and actually putting him with an orchestra... The tom and Jerry cartoon is the closest, and this is real life.
