He's part of the Hannity Traveling Wharrrgabl Show.
I'm guessing Sean is booking people who make him look normal.

I bought a car that used to belong to Jon Voight.

I think we can all see where Angelina got her crazy from.

2009-08-21 04:21:18 PM
Well, he was in The Odessa File (new window), so he must know something about Nazis.

2009-08-21 04:22:58 PM
I think that the President and the Pentagon and the National Guard will pretty much decide any armed conflicts anywhere near here anytime soon.

2009-08-21 04:23:26 PM
Hey Jon, you ever had your balls cut off you farking ape?

2009-08-21 04:27:52 PM
Yeah, the guy with a near pathological need to compromise with the other side is "driving the country to civil war". People screaming insanities about death panels, nazis, and commie-socialist-fascists are not the problem. Right.

TFA: "Mr. Voight -- a warrior himself in many ways -- has been cogitating about the state of America, meanwhile."

Too bad those "many ways" don't actually include, you know, serving in the military.

Just another chickenhawk Republican.

2009-08-21 04:36:27 PM
Yeah, it's President "We Could Ram This Through, But For Some Reason I'm Trying To Compromise With The Republicans" Obama who's driving the country to the brink.

Okay.

*crazy fingers*

Whew...I'm glad Obama had the balls to serve.

Obama's not out there fomenting civil war.

Good actor, shiatty father, shiattier political analyst.

Besides, aren't we supposed to ignore these Hollywood celebrities?

Quick hide all our national treasure.

Thanks for Angelina.

Oh and EABOD for screwing up Mission: Impossible.
Jim Phelps would NEVER turn against the IM Force. Dickwad.

The only ones instigating a civil war are the far-right nutjobs.

Obama has governed no more liberally than he said he was going to.

2009-08-21 05:19:33 PM
I thought Hollywood types were supposed to shut-up when it came to politics.

I guess that's only if they agree with Democrats...

2009-08-21 05:24:27 PM
I wonder which side it is that is using all the rhetoric that is causing their supporters to favor civil war over rational debate?

2009-08-21 05:40:44 PM
I'll tell you this; I can take Jon Voight.

Just so we are clear, when the two sides face off, I get to kill Jon Voight. I called it.

2009-08-21 05:46:53 PM
Republicans are pretty much the Time Cube guy at this point.

Only when they are liberal Hollywood Types. When they are conservative Hollywood Types we should listen to them as if they spoke with the words of the Almighty.

I appreciate the temperate voices that he and Victoria Jackson are adding to our national political discourse.

I don't get where this civil war stuff is coming from. I really don't.

granted, I don't like the direction Obama is taking us...but i'm not about to get off my fat ass and hump it over a couple hills with a gunny sack full of ammo to re-fight the battle of gettysburg.

we are no where near in danger of a civil war. Not yet anyway. Maybe - MAYBE if we can't control the deficit, or we get to a point where we can't pay out social security and/or unemployment...then we'd be in trouble. But so far we've managed to keep things afloat. And it looks like that for the near term, things will remain afloat.

I don't get why some folks on the right feel like we're on the verge of a civil war. none of the signs are there for it. yet.

Something tells me that in this case the conservatives won't be telling the Hollywood elitist movie star to shut up.

The President is black and some angry white people can't handle it.

End of story.

I don't get why some folks on the right feel like we're on the verge of a civil war. none of the signs are there for it. yet.

Because many folks on the right are from the South and a black guy is the President. A lot of them openly copped to it during the campaign.

Isn't it sad that all the faded actors are going over to the wingnut side? I bet they never tell you about that when you're a solid b-lister: "Oh, you're going to have a career that pays you some good money. Until you're upstaged by your bratty children and the jobs stop. Even the ones that are direct-to-video. And for the rest of your days, you'll take jobs speaking on a failure of a news network that does nothing but supports a political party bankrupt of ideas and resorting to outright lies and using your battered career as fuel.'fark TV Movies, this is the last stop on the crazy train of acting. When you're on Fox News, you don't have a career anymore. You won't find work ever again.

If there is another civil war, which I highly doubt, the most likely cause would be some act of terrorism perpetrated by a right-wing group, ala OKC.

2009-08-21 07:53:21 PM
Pants full of macaroni!!: Guys like this will drive the country to civil war, actually:

Oh bullshiat. The only thing they'll do is make the position of the Crazy Right even more unsustainable. The Crazy Right requires a certain amount of sympathy to be viable, and if they started pulling true terrorist shiat like they did in the '90s now, nobody would care if some of them were raped to death in prison or hauled off to a Gitmo Bay. Let's face it: America would be better off right now if a lot of the anti-abortionists and Town Hall disruptors simply didn't exist anymore. And I'm sure while they could dramatize a position where they would be imprisoned and exiled, the reality is they don't have the guts or the balls to really face a reality of that. All of them are general old stupid bastards who can't see reality and have their heads too far up their ass.

I dunno...I give it another 50 years, tops. Let everyone get a little more stupid and a little more violent; put Gen-X in charge and get rid of the last of the Boomers and you might just see an armed insurrection someplace in the country. Add in another lost war or another terrorist attack on US soil, and yeah, I could see it.

I'm putting the risk dates at around 2050-2075. The Middle East will be totally imploding around then, and China should have dominated the Pacific Rim.

Is Obama acting like a 'warrior' and pushing for wars?

Jon Voight has been a general, a Senator, Secretary of Defense, and President of the United States. Plus his hot daughter is a UN ambassador. What more political experience does he need, Subby?

You know what? Jackie Robinson went through the same kind of thing, though it was just plain open racism at that time. He got death threats. He got plunked by all manner of pitchers. Base runners would come at him with their spikes up.

Jackie didn't fight back very often either, but when he did, he made it count. Look what happened to Sam Maglie.

2009-08-21 08:09:46 PM
There's a real question at stake now. Is President Obama creating a civil war in our own country?

Yeah! Why can't President Obama create civil wars in other countries?

Seriously, this is a real question? Does Jon Voight understand the word "real"? This is as serious and intelligent a question as asking a Jewish Representative, "Why do you support Nazi policies," with reference to an expansion of health-care.

2009-08-21 08:09:59 PM
Wait, I thought I was supposed to dismiss and deride the Hollywood latte-sipping elitists. I am so confused now.
