theorellior: Crabs_Can_Polevault: Haven't you heard? Batshiat insane is back in style like it's never been before!

Why, this afternoon I'm having my eyelids pierced and a hubcap bolted to my forehead, and then I'm going to shiat on random passersby from the trees!

Which Town Hall will this be at? Be sure to wear a tricorn hat, too.

Naw, I'm good. I'll just bend up three sides of the hubcap.

theorellior: I finally watched the clip, and in the spirit of Fark, I'd like to say, despite her batshiat politics, I'd hit it. In a hotel room. In another city. Under an assumed name.

...and you have to insist she wears the ball gag.

About farking time somebody stopped dignifying these morons.

I actually have some respect for this man. For what was shown, he kept his cool and told it like it was.

And screw the dining room table, it can or will be replaced by another hard wood.

I like how he says that illegals won't be covered by the bill, they are specifically excluded, only to be met by people chanting read the bill. So he does. He reads them the section excluding illegals. Classy.

Action Replay Nick 2009-08-18 10:01:09 PM It's funny, because this is utterly ridiculous and Frank is entirely right to admonish this idiot. However, he is Barney Frank, so this will be conservative outrage number 1 first thing in the morning after Malkin or someone stays up all night twisting this into 2000 words so they can collect a paycheck this week.
=============================================

Last night on Faux News (sadly my dad watches it, so I overhear it) they were trying their best to twist this into Barney Frank is an uncaring liberal and that she was just a normal woman trying to ask a question.

I really wanted to throw something at the tv.

During the bailout debates, a few R's made comment about how they did not vote for the bill because they felt Speaker Pelosi gave an excessively partisan speech, to which Rep Frank replied: "Give me those twelve people's names, and I will go talk uncharacteristically nicely to them, and tell them what wonderful people they are, and maybe they'll think about the country."

If you are going to go and heckle Rep. Frank, you had better bring your A-Game; he'll have his with him.

Lumi: Action Replay Nick: Malkin will turn this aspect of the 'outrage' into at least two paragraphs.

By the way, the Freepers are not amused.

Wow, right out of the gate they're calling for someone to assassinate him:

"I was absolutely shocked by the treatment received by one female asking a question. The fat arrogant fag had the nerve to ask her what planet she lived on. Had I been at that meeting, I would have been arrested. This jerk better be retired by the next election. He is on the list, right below, NFP, CFD.

I am not permitted to decipher the initials."

I'm not sure if the poster is mad at him for being fat, gay, or not-nice-to-a-lunatic.

2009-08-19 11:19:09 AM
The version playing on CNN right now is more interesting, because it shows her reaction. The batshiate-crazy shows all over her face.

You only see the weird combination of a shocked/outraged/helpless facial expression coupled with completely blank, dead, wall-eyes on someone who's truly not all there.

I'm stunned.

He is? Looked like he had a narrow stance there.

The difference between him and gay Republicans is that he is honest about it. He came out before it was cool.

As much as I cannot stand Barney Frank, I have to applaud him for what he did. These people, like that lady, need to be put in their place and publicly ridiculed. It is the only way to stop them from propagating hatred and lies.

rufus-t-firefly: kuhns_m: Classic.

This woman got totally pwned. When he starts ripping her, the camera goes to her and she is like, "Oh man, what did I get myself into? Freedom works told me they were going to fold like a house of cards."

Democrats need to grow a pair or they will do what they always do, fold when it gets to tough.

What's funny is that now a gay man is more macho than the rest of the Democratic Congress.

These people are completely out of it. How do you think BARNEY FRANK would be a good target of those tactics? The only way someone would think "I can get one over on Rep. Frank" is if that person knows absolutely nothing about him.

The village people were "Macho Men."

What I like is the same people who were yelling "read the bill" started booing and heckling him for reading the bill; so he shot back how rediculous it was that the same people who screamed at him to read the bill gets pissed when he does.

That just shows they don't want debate or compromise, their only goal is to obstruct any reform no matter what the merit.

This is why I support "reconciliation" now. It is obvious the opposition's only alternative idea is to do nothing.

Here's the thing, though: Reps are quickly learning that, when presented with anyone whose tone of voice ascends one octave while asking a question, they're better off rhetorically striking first. Yes, interesting and engaging debate is getting lost. Yes, I'd prefer a more rational, to say nothing of polite, form of communication. However, when someone starts throwing bricks... what are you gonna do? The second one of these nutters began their wind-up, I'd preempt them by saying something along the lines of "Oh, look how nice! The 'birthers' are here!".

I totally agree. I see no fault in what Frank did. When people start spouting insanity they need to be shouted down and put in their place.

And, I am not looking for a polite, gentlemanly discussion. I just wanna know what this thing is all about. What it means to ME and how it will effect my life. But unfortunately, the people in the know are distracted by having to deal with this bullcrap. Thats all.

In fact, I really am hoping that this legislation gets forced through because it does nothing but HELP my family out.

I think that right there is where the Obama Administration failed in this debate... They took too long to start countering these nuts with the facts about the proposal. From the beginning, the dems should have been out there explaining their proposals in plain, simple language.

The GOP seems to have known what they wanted to do right from the get-go -derail the conversation- and their plan succeeded, unfortunately.

I'm still not convinced that the proposed plan is the right way to go, and I would have loved the GOP to have been putting the same amount of energy into promoting an alternative plan that they've put into getting the retards in their party all riled up. I mean the GOP alternative is pretty slim on details, but it seems like it has a couple of decent ideas in it at any rate.

All this white noise is bullshiat and isn't doing any citizen, regardless of political affiliation, any good.

I'm sorry, sir, but chapter 6, subchapter 22, clause 3 of the Republican Bylaws states you are clearly out of line. Proper deference and contrition are to be shown to the GOP by appearing on at least two Fox commentary shows, and the Rush Limbaugh program, and publicly flagellating yourself therein.

You're the exception and I don't mind inviting you to a seat at the table to discuss it like two adults.

Dems should just work within themselves and those in the GOP that want to discuss this in a rational manner. The rest can go DIAF.

I Said: Bob16: Frank was too good to her.

The only thing he should have said to that crazy biatch is "next".

He should have given the speech from the end of Happy Gilmore:
"We are all stupider for having heard that"

Billy Madison. There was a mob beating of Shooter at the end of Happy Gilmore.

Don't sweat it, I've done that mix up before.

thumpnugget thats what i came in here to say... based on the glossy photo she was holding up (along with her supporters next to her) it looked like the photo LaRouche supporters have been bandy-ing about.

She wasn't a Republican, she was a nutjog LaRouche lover

El_Perro: Capitalist1: (quoting the loon): This is the T-4 policy of the Hitler, of the Hitler policy of 1939, where he said certain lives are not worth living, certain people we should not spend the money to keep them alive. . . .

Ironically, this is true every day already. Alcoholics are denied liver transplants routinely, Insurance companies refuse to cover heroic measures that stand little chance of doing more than prolonging life for weeks or months, parents sadly pull the plug on brain-dead children.

Is it worth spending hundreds of thousands in tax (or shareholder) dollars for a multiple organ transplant for a 90-year old man who is unlikely to live more than another 5 years no matter how good the surgical outcome?

Unpleasant choices need to be made sometimes. Medical resources are finite, and this has probably been happening since the time of Hippocrates.

I have an elderly relative that keeps sending me emails asking, "where's the REAL document. The one the Dems passed around BEFORE the bill was written??" She keeps trying to convince me that the bill isn't the REAL agenda. That and she is convinced Medicare is NOT in ANYWAY a government program because she has to pay for it every month out of her Social Security check. There really is no arguing with some people. I finally told her last night if she wants to have a civil and reasoned discourse about this I'm more than happy to oblige, but otherwise she can stfu and get back in the kitchen.

/yes, she's a birther
