I just replaced the laces in my 5 year old's shoes with elastic. It looks like laces but she doesn't need to tie them. That is as clever as we get.

The real trick isn't so much the lacing but making sure that you've got a square knot and not a granny if you pull the loops out.

It is amazing how many people put up with their shoes coming untied several times a day for years before finding out why it's happening.

Admit it Farkers.

Thanks, subby, I needed this. Don't know why shoes come with extra-long laces now, but it looks like some kind of clown bow unless you replace them with normal sized laces or re-lace them to use up more of the string. I have a new pair of sneakers that could benefit from a re-lace....
