Thursday...August 6, 2009. John Hughes thread, www.fark.com. Dear Mr. Hughes...we accept the fact that you had to kick the bucket and make us spend a whole Thursday afternoon mindlessly parroting the dialog of your films. But we think you're crazy to go at this young age without telling us who you think we are, though, why would you care? You see us as you want to see us...in the simplest terms and the most convenient definitions. You see us as a smartass, a troll, an emo, an internet tough guy and a fanboi. Correct? That's the way we see each other in every thread. We are brainwashed...

I met John Hughes when I worked for FS about ten years ago, didn't realize who he was cause the invoice and paperwork just said Hughes Farm. Rolled out in a golf cart, said what he wanted sprayed. Seemed like a nice guy.

Not terribly original, but it's very appropriate. I went with a Shermer reference.

I have two older sisters, so I was made pretty aware growing up of who he was and all of his movies.

My point being, my first stiffy was probably from Molly Ringwald.

Bummer. His movies were huge during my teen years. Sixteen Candles (AUTOMOBEEEEEEELE?) was awesome.

Pretty in Pink/Some Kind of Wonderful = the same movie.
