Il Douchey: Gosling: Oh, who the hell cares. They're free.

I'm glad about that, but the "story" they're trying to sell is ridiculous. There is simply no way this could have occurred without major staging. Even the NK citizens probably realize that it's more Dear Leader gov't bullshiat.

We don't have formal diplomatic relations with NK. That's why Obama sent Bill instead of Hill Bill took it upon himself to go talk with Im So Ronrey. The Tooth Fairy is also fake, but we still pretend otherwise for the kids. No harm, no foul.

mandingueiro: wait a sec. they break the laws of a foreign nation and because the west was indignant they get to go free?

I didn't know "Dear Leader" used a computer.

That's gotta hurt.

Gosling: mandingueiro: wait a sec. they break the laws of a foreign nation and because the west was indignant they get to go free? If they did not work for a high profile media outlet they would not go free.

And I'm sure if you were over there for whatever reason, you'd suck it up and take your 12 years of hard labor like a man. Sure.

I'm not the one sneaking around in the china/n.korea border, knowing full well it is illegal and there is a high risk involved. You gotta pay to play. They got lucky.

lol, Omar Torrijos is the best you can come up with?

Carter doesn't give you as much to work with, unlike his successor.

what_now: yes. I'd say this one.

I liked the one that said he picked up 2 Asian chicks and just has to get them home before Hillary finds out.

2009-08-04 04:36:34 PM
Lil Kim just wanted to see the bent penis. After that, he was spent and released two chicks.

Mr. Coffee Nerves: Now who is going to rescue the two women from Bill?

"Now, now, Hilary. These upstanding kneeling ladies were just expressing their gratitude for a job well done!"

Clinton -- still the man!

Dang... Billy Boi works fast.

Also, this exact headline was used when it was announced Clinton was going to NK to begin with. Only people were nitpicking about his hyphenation of "pick-up".

2009-08-04 04:38:27 PM
WOOOOOOOO!

i've missed bill so much.

2009-08-04 04:38:37 PM
It'll be nice to see these women back home. What's more important, though, is that Dear Leader got to be the center of attention again for a little while, and that the Evil Americans were forced to come to him and beg for something.

2009-08-04 04:38:41 PM
Oh well, I voted for the other headline, but this one is nice too.
Great Job, Bill.

How pissed do you think Carter is right about now? Clinton made him his biatch.

Killer Cars: but I think any former President could've gotten them out. NK got their name in the paper, which is all they wanted.

I wonder if they sent W. what would have happened?

Perhaps any high-profile American. Samuel L Jackson, anybody.

How the hell would you know that?

You don't.

Stupid post was stupid.

This is great news. It doesn't matter what side of the aisle you're on, no American should be stuck languishing in a North Korean prison.

I think Bill should have used the opportunity to use his Spinning Cobra Kick and ended that miserable little dictator's life.

I read that in Bill Clinton's voice in my head...

shiat man, you're sending the wolf? that's all I needed to hear.

2009-08-04 04:40:08 PM
Good of Bill to do this....however a few questions here...

Why was he doing this, and not someone official from our government such as Hillary? To me, this is more of a failure of Hillary than a success of Bill. Is Hillary so incompetent that she still needs to rely on Bill to do the real work?

Hillary is our Secretary of State, for gods sake...

2009-08-04 04:40:09 PM
WAY TO GO, CLINTON- that's all we needed! Let's give North Korea the legitimacy of governmental contact with the US.

Next thing you know they'll start acting like they're a entitled to our attention and building nukes and launching missiles and shiat

2009-08-04 04:40:16 PM
Dude, wait Korea was holding some of our people? I gotta watch BBC news more often.

Made my mom watch it a few weeks ago when I was at her place, we saw a story about a US nuclear waste facility we had never heard of that had been in place for like 60 years.

2009-08-04 04:40:42 PM
The_Six_Fingered_Man: Huh. Here I thought the OTHER Clinton was SecState.

She is. We don't have normalized relations with North Korea, on account of the fact that they be crazy.

and

God job Bubba!

Just wait until Kenneth Starr subpoenas Clinton to testify. Then we'll get to the bottom of this brouhaha.

2009-08-04 04:41:10 PM
Of course he'll release them. This is exactly what he wanted. You get some ailing crackpot with 0 international credibility, he pulls a stunt to shanghai 2 journalists under a Stalinist trumped-up charge of espionage, then you have an ex-president of the United States come hat-in-hand in front of international media to ask for their return.

The guy's a one trick pony. This is the exact same ploy as getting something for free from the U.N. to halt nuclear testing, renegging on your pledge to stop, and then forcing even more from the International Community to stop again - this time for realz!

Not an ex-president. A cabinet member maybe. Should've sent Hillary, but not the ex-president. This is like a warlord entertaining a plea of leniency from an ex-emperor.

I think Samuel L Jackson would've been able to do it. The man's good. On the other hand, I think George W. Bush would have done something stupid and gotten them executed.

What a day!

First (on another thread) I had to say I was forced to admit I was nostalgic for Bush---something I would have thought impossible---now I am forced to admit, Bill Clinton has done something laudable.

All that is left to complete the trifecta is for Al Gore to make a scientifically factual statement, even acciddentally.
