"Website Showcases Interactive Animation"

Holy crap! Why doesn't this have a "News Flash" tag? This should be on CNN! Much like the printing press, the light bulb, and the mighty Segway, this will fundamentally change the way we live.

But unlike the cartoons you grew up with, most all of these shows have Easter eggs hidden inside, a secret area that can only be found by clicking in the right place at the right time. Strong Bad's Monster Truck e-mail, for example, includes a mini game that can only be found by clicking on the second Sunday that appears at the end of the episode.

Would the last sentence make any sense to someone who's never actually seen this before?

2003-02-28 03:38:21 PM
I have no idea what your talking about right now.

2003-02-28 03:41:13 PM
This calls for a killians.

2003-02-28 03:41:27 PM
with double deuce action!!

2003-02-28 03:43:44 PM
My girl left me and took my dog, but at least I still have Homestarrunner!

I tried to make some cartoons, but all I could get was smells like peanut action. :(

2003-02-28 03:43:58 PM
Why does Marzipan like Homestar anyways? Even Homsar is superior to him in all ways. She's obviously on the path to self destruction.

2003-02-28 03:45:33 PM
this reads pretty silly. you have to LIVE homestarrunner...you can't just read about it.

2003-02-28 03:46:07 PM
That's Strong Bad Email not Strong Bad Answers.

Twit Sneak, fetch me some jam!

2003-02-28 03:47:25 PM
I've never heard of "Strong Bad Answers". :)

2003-02-28 03:48:12 PM
Why does this have the "Follow Up" banner? Was there a similar article posted earlier today or yesterday, or is it just a follow-up to all of the Strong Bad e-mails that get posted here?

2003-02-28 03:48:40 PM
I just noticed the little yellow tape next to the back button on the toons section...shows that guy who adds happy little trees. Wow. I can't express thoughts anymore.

The episodes are infectious and will elicit giggles from 12-year-olds...
Wow, I'm really proud to be a fan.

Well, you certainly beat me to that punch. I was about to say: Best. Analysis. Ever.

2003-02-28 03:49:34 PM
What's this a followup of?

2003-02-28 03:51:32 PM
Man that was a really poorly written article.. did Homsar write it?

DAAAHHAHAHAAA I"M THE PRIDE OF THE PEACHES.

2003-02-28 03:51:38 PM
Yeesh, that was a terribly written review. My guess is he spent about 4 and a half minutes at the site, and even less writing the article.

2003-02-28 03:51:40 PM
I think the author was very clever in making sure that the article was a poorly written and developed at the cartoons themselves...maybe the Brother Chaps wrote it! Maybe its an Easter Egg!

2003-02-28 03:52:13 PM
Groan
Enjoy. My first article accepted was later deleted for some reason, though the follow-up stayed. How strange.

2003-02-28 03:54:28 PM
I suck at the Motorcross game.

The Trogdor comes in the NIIIIGHT!!!!

2003-02-28 03:55:40 PM
You know what this site needs? A Trogdor game.

"You must lay the city to burnination before you get arrowed!"

That would be very cool.

2003-02-28 03:58:54 PM
Oh go away Damon, SS is not going to see your idiocy so there is no point. Has ss done those "car-toons" yet?

2003-02-28 04:00:02 PM
Damon_Ryde, isn't the Simpsons enjoyed by people of all ages, from younger than 12 to older than Strom Thurmond?

And why am I feeding the trolls?

Christ. Awexome Cross 98 is harder than Metroid.

2003-02-28 04:25:13 PM
I said consummate V's... CONSUMMATE!

2003-02-28 04:26:09 PM
All that time at the ops console would make you good at Awexome Cross 98 I'd think.

2003-02-28 04:47:02 PM
AweXome Cross is... Awesome!

If you get perfect score you win free chicken!

Yeah. Turns out the skill doesn't translate. the best score I can get is 1200.

2003-02-28 04:53:46 PM
The video shows way too much intentionally bad animation by the cheat.

2003-02-28 04:54:49 PM
Worst. Article. Ever.

2003-02-28 05:01:11 PM
Wil - I see you got over your "I'm not updating my blog" temper-tantrum, which lasted all of a day.

How's "Just a Tool" coming? Err, whatever.

2003-02-28 05:01:40 PM
SWEET, 2100, and I got a special screen!

2003-02-28 05:06:08 PM
Dynamic_Lifter - Well, I didn't bring up the Simpsons, but as BDay55 said, The Simpsons have an adult message that goes over the head of their younger viewers. Southpark also has a similar political/social commentary. Homestarrunner does not, that's why they'll never hack it compared to the other two.

2003-02-28 05:08:06 PM
New York 1 must be monitoring Bay News 9 in Tampa. Al Ruechel reviewed homestarrunner.com a couple of weeks ago...

H*R.com actually has plenty of stuff that only really applies to fans of 80's pop culture, which generally, 12 year olds are not...

Also, I beat the game again, only this time I was paying attention to what was going on, I think if you hit 2100 points you finish, but it could be the number of jumps.

2003-02-28 05:13:34 PM
Soporific you cant have a game where Trogdor gets arrowed, it has to be strictly about burninating the thatch-roofed cottages, Trogdor knows no pain - why else would he have such a killer name as 'the burninator'? If anything, it should be how many people you can burninate in the night, or alternatively, how many people's methods you can improve upon. *fwoosh* Haha! Trogdor strikes again!

2003-02-28 05:15:04 PM
i think this sucks, now strongbad is just gonna become a sell-out that everybody talks about

2003-02-28 05:25:17 PM
Strongbad a dittohead? No way! That was clearly anti-Trogdor. Free Country USA supports the burninator.

2003-02-28 05:26:21 PM
edit: That link was anti-Trogdor.

2003-02-28 05:35:14 PM
I guess I should mention that I missed where Trogdor first came up. Anyone have a link?

2003-02-28 05:35:44 PM
I don't think Strongbad will be something everyone talks about. There's always reality tv to keep most people distracted.

edit: That link was anti-Trogdor.

Google News - Burnination this is freaky

2003-02-28 06:01:55 PM
I'm just posting for the sake of posting.

2003-02-28 06:05:27 PM
Everybody....Everybody!

2003-02-28 07:05:47 PM
AlienOmega: Trogdor was a spinoff of an earlier episode in which someone sends strong bad an e-mail asking him if he can play guitar.

This was then developed into the wing-a-linged, beefy armed
majestic Trogdor.
