Major pwnage commences at the 4:20 mark:

Then how about setting the link to start the video at that mark then, for the people that don't want to watch 10 minutes of talking heads.

And while he does biatchslap the guy pretty good,

unleashes a pwnage barrage so epic it should be accompanied by Dr. Manhattan and Ride of the Valkyries

is nowhere close. I've seen other talking head videos where far greater pwnage has been handed out.

"Pwnage"? I dunno. I think they were both a measure too polite. Not that I prefer journalists OR their interviewees to devolve into red-faced, talking-point parroting demagogues like the hooting "CUT THE MIC'!!!" baboons over at Focks "News," but these two seemed more like they were having a mild disagreement over cocktails.

That said, Fareed Zakaria has always seemed like he's got his head screw'd on pretty damn straight, and the overweening, bearded turd on the right came off an awful lot like Baghdad Bob. So, pwnage or not, I'd say the point was made as firmly as it needed to be under the circumstances.

It's too bad a brilliant guy like Fareed is stuck on CNN at 1 P.M.

I'm growing rather fond of Reza Azlan as a source of good insight into Islamic affairs. I'm in the middle of his primer on Islam, No God But God. Then moving onto How to Win a Cosmic War. But Zakaria is definitely on top of his game.

Yes, I wouldn't call this major pwnage, but it's quite clear he's interviewing the Iranian version of Baghdad Bob. They were talking about this last week on twitter. The guy he's interviewing is known to be a Khamenei shill who's main gift is his English fluency.

He seems to get the lion's share of all the attention right now.

Fareed's tone was polite, but he sure as hell didn't pull the punches on that shill. Way to go!

Fareed Zakaria is the only reason to watch CNN.

I don't know who this Fareed Zakaria is, but after that good of an interview I certainly think I'm going to start watching him to see if this interview was a fluke or if he really does that good of a job everyday. I hope he is good - as some of the talking heads they have on CNN are idiots.

Fareed Zakaria -- one of my favorite pundits.

He writes for Newsweek and makes a lot of appearances on political talk shows, including TDS/Colbert. And yes, he's always good. Any time I see his name on an article I make sure to read it.

Not an epic pwnage by any stretch, but he did take the guy down pretty firmly. When you reduce someone to babbling about their military service more than a decade prior, you've pretty much won the argument.

Hah. I bought my wife that t-shirt. It's now her favorite.

Fareed is lying about the US only providing "agricultural credits" to Iraq.

However that doesn't back up douchebag's point.

He's good and he attracts good guests; his Sunday afternoon show is the best thing (only good thing?) on CNN.

In my experience, video "pwnage" very rarely lives up to its billing on whatever blog or commentary site is linking to it.

Fareed is a very smart guy who presents well as a pundit. If you are however familiar with his larger career you will realize he is just another self serving toolbag. Check out his viewpoints shortly after the Iraq inbvasion.

Uh.. right. He didn't pwn anyone there. There was no pwnage.

1) Yay, old news, etc.
2) Fareed's OK, but this was pretty much some "So how long have you beat your wife?" junk.

Pretty good interview. It was humorous to see the other guy dissolve into babbling on the air, but I kind of feel sorry for him. It's not that big of a stretch to think that the current regime has threatened his family, or currently has members of his family in prison. I'd be a shill on international television to save my little brother.

/yes, that's honestly the first thing that came to my mind when I watched that

Technically, it would be only 4 minutes, 19 seconds of talking heads.

The Mouth of Sauron?!?! It was worth sticking around until the end just for that little nugget.

A government controlled talking head from the University said things are alright in Tehran. Who are we to second guess him?
Zakaria is a contrivance of the Dick Cheney Halliburton Kabal and the Karl Rove Weather Machine.
